Legitimately, this team looks like he's about to have his worst season since 2007. I'm not betting on 6 losses but more than 3 is definitely on the table.

This isn't going to be like 2010 where they lost 3 and were good enough to win 14.

This team is probably going to be fortunate to win whatever number they get. The talent level on paper may be high but on the field it looks like much less.

Really has a late Bowden Florida State feel right now where the recruiting classes are always great but they go 8-4.

Red zone turnovers will skyrocket.

I can see having a wildcat like package for Milroe to throw a wrinkle at defenses...but there is no freakin way he should be QB1 no matter where they are on the field. Why is it so hard to admit he just doesn't have it? He's had 3 1/2 games... plenty of time to show improvement. He hasn't. Move on for crying out loud.

Milroe can't win with y'all bitching... If he took a shite, y'all complain.

If he waved at y'all's wife, y'all complain.

If he smiled at you, y'all complain.

Got damn! Excessive whining nonstop all week long and now he has a package in red zone and y'all crying like a baby...

I advocated for giving Milroe a chance all offseason. At a certain point you gotta accept the data you’ve seen with your own eyes.

You’ve had a week long melt man. You’ve whined more about people whining than there’s been actual whining. Maybe take a few days off.

Jm has been taking most of the 1st teams reps within the red zone.

That makes no sense to me at all. Everyone agrees his deep ball is pretty much his only strength in the passing game and struggles with intermediate and short throws which is all he would have in the red zone. I get you could use his legs in there but you need the threat of the pass for that to work.

My only concern with him is he seems almost like a clone of Milroe, with the same strengths and weaknesses.

That’s not accurate at all.

Milroe- big arm, really fast, can’t read defense and stares down receivers.

Buchner- fast, average arm, can read a defense, doesn’t stare down receivers.

They are quite different.

Like I said earlier this week, Buchner has taken most of the reps. I think this tactic is an easy letdown for Milroe. If it isn’t I pray they limit his package to something very simple.

Let’s hope he has improved his ability to read defenses because his career stats (6 TDs/8 INTs) do not suggest he is adept at doing so.

To this point, they've both been turnover-prone guys whose biggest strength is their athleticsm. Milroe has the bigger arm and is actually very good on deep balls. Buchner, MIGHT be better in the intermediate game, but we don't know that yet. Any belief that Buchner can read defenses better is just based on hope. I mean, I think it might be true, but we don't KNOW.

Yeah, I think it is too.

If you're a QB and you had a bad performance and QB2 on the depth chart is getting more reps then you, that probably means you're sitting on the bench this week. Simple as that.

Anyways, hopefully Buchner does well enough for my PosiTider wellbeing

Gotta roll with Buchner since Milroe hasn’t improved. I heard Saban asked to change QBs Saturday but was told the other guys weren’t ready. Hopefully it meant not ready to play against Texas but can get better with easier game reps.

I know at least two of those INTs were tipped passes where the ball was there and the receiver simply didn't catch it. I know that those still go on the books as INTs.

Moreover, he didn't have the same quality of athletes and receivers as he has at Bama. I don't KNOW this but that could account for some of the INTs.

My only evidence is watching him at the scrimmage effortlessly move the team down the field on the first drive and his his third read the TE for a TD. Live action I don’t have much.
