He was the best at the scrimmage and from my understanding Milroe is on a short leash. Buchner could end up being the guy if Milroe can’t get it all together. I hope he does. But Buchner is ready in my opinion.

Marshall was starting anyway. Campbell is very good though so be nice to have him available.

My reckon was Campbell is one of those guys that Saban is hoping to keep pressing for in-season improvement because he's got the look of an alpha dog inside backer.

I'm cheering for Milroe. I like it when a player plays his dues and I think Milroe has. I like the strengths he has and I think he has the highest ceiling of possibly anyone on the team, like possible high first round pick if he can add reading a defense and accuracy to his speed and arm strength.

I'm also somewhat concerned about some of the poster's health here and other sites if Milroe doesn't do well.

nobody wants to hear this, but Milroe and college Lamar Jackson have similar qualities. Questionable short to mid range accuracy, decent deep ball, and runs like a gazelle.

Not trying to say he'll be Lamar, but the similarities are there.

Idk why I'm optimistic, but I am as well. I'm relying heavily on the idea that Steele will bring back the most basic defensive fundamentals which is what we've needed for years. If this happens, idgaf what happens on offense so long as they don't lose games for us. If we can come together on defense, have a strong running game (option-oriented) on offense, this team will win a championship

Standing up a little bit for Lamar....his only issues in college were progression reads but the cast around him was terrible. He was forced into rushed throws with bad stance etc. Gazelle part I agree with 100%

We can only be so lucky that Milroe is anything close to that talented

Seeing reports that Buchner is QB2. Who would have guessed Milroe, Buchner, then Simpson a few months ago

Hell yeah!

Side note: I have high hopes for Milroe, if he struggles Buchner can play. I’ve watched it. Let’s roll !!
