Here’s the thing, in years past we have looked way worse than this at scrimmages and I was like yeah we aren’t winning shite. Only to go on and win it all.
My guess this whole time was far too many folks reading far too much into a scripted scrimmage.

yup remember going in 2009 spring game and declaring we are not winning anything :)

My most recent one was 2015. Coker was absolutely embarrassing at the scrimmage. Like holy frick how did we get here. And we win it all.
2020 was different we were special and we all knew it.

Boz and anyone else who was at the scrimmage,
Did Ty spend the majority of his time with the 2's? By majority, I mean did it appear he was set back behind JM and TB, not given the same "shot" working with the 1's that JM and TB got?
I ask this for a very specific reason. If he was not stroked by the coach in the presser after the scrimmage and he did not get the time with the 1's against the #2 D, was CNS doing to him what he did to AJ when AJ was a freshman?
Saban put AJ in a disadvantaged spot and did not pat him on the back to see how AJ would respond as a leader under stress. Would he bark at everyone and hang his head or would he try to lift everyone he was teamed with and try to lead?
Just spitballing here with no real idea of what was going on at the scrimmage.

I feel like he was with the 1’s the same amount as Buchner maybe Milroe had more time with 1’s by a small amount.
Buchner might have had 1 less series than him but Buchner scored on every try minus the limited time run where they went with a FG at 9 seconds instead of another play.
You could be right, it could be a lesson for Ty or a reaction test.

I don’t recall one positive thing from the play by play yesterday regarding Ty. Not one.
Converted on a third down to Miller on his first series with the 2nd team offense against the 1st team defense. Led his team to a field goal on that drive. Seems like he was QB on another drive for a field goal.

We don’t have Bryce, Mac, or Tua, but we have 5 stars everywhere who are ready to bring a Natty back to Tuscaloosa.

If they are so confident in Milroe.. I wonder if it's because we are going to heavily rely in his running ability in playcalling and we wouldn't want to show it in scrimmage and don't want him banged up?

He scored a FG on his first two drives.
There is not a point in trying to definitively figure out anything based on a scrimmage. There are way too many variables. I'm sure they had specific plans for each QB to see how they handle different things. And stats really don't mean anything.
E.g. Boz said Simpson had three straight incompletions at one point. B ut what you don't know is why. Did he have open WRs and just missed them, did he have bad reads? Did a WR get confused and run the wrong route? Were the DBs playing lights out and no WR was open? Who knows. That is the same with all the QBs. Buchner looked good, but did he take advantage of busted coverage?
I would love to be a fly on the wall for the film breakdown. That would be fascinating.

I’m a bit torn, honestly. We lost our toughness and grit on offense and defense, which is why we are trying to move back to a bit more smash mouth football. But I remember watching the 2014 Iron Bowl where we were out-gained by ~150 yards and still won by double digits (55-44) because they kicked FGs and we had explosive play TDs.
Saban himself has indicated that the rules favor the offense. I’m just hoping our new offense will allow us to run the ball when needed, but still takes advantage of explosive plays and the rules that favor the offense. Otherwise, we may find ourselves in a game where we were the more physical team but couldn’t put enough points on the board due to settling for too many FGs (similar to 2021 title game where we dominated UGA in the 1st 20 minutes but settled for FGs). We will need a QB that can make UGA, LSU, Texas, and OSU pay for stacking the box (especially in the redzone), or our defense will have to be virtually perfect to win the natty while kicking a bunch of FGs. Here’s hoping at least 1 of the 4 QBs are up for the challenge.

Got downvoted but I said earlier that the only thing concerning me was a shootout type of game needed early on. That May be the case all year IDK but I am more concerned about the defensive side of the ball. If they play well ( and I fully expect them to) it will make this transition year a lot easier

What the frick are you talking about? The most unclever retard response of all time "hurr durrrP he muzz be AWBUN or ELLESHUE fan hurrrr". What exactly is your verification? Id love to hear this.
I could not possibly care less about trolling anyone. I dont care enough to read most of this board let alone go to another college team board.

Big Steev tried to troll the bball board a couple of years back and was outed as an LSU fan (had 50 posts since 2016 and suddenly showed up when Bama had a big setback). He stopped trolling after we all ignored him and now tries to troll the football board. When you out the troll and ignore them, they lose interest and you can get back to reasonable posts. Too many on this thread interact with the obvious trolls, and I’m sure you appreciate that don’t you.
It was literally this year you dumb motherfricker. I went in game threads and complained while we were having terrible games. I posted my thoughts and left the thread not giving a shite if anyone respnded or not. Its a game thread.
Who am I then if you "outed" me?
Ive been around here forever since Flesh Eating Salsa and the other mods were in charge and just dont post alot. I got banned on a different site and started posting here more. Ill be sure to stick around more just to piss you off.

The troll is triggered. Everyone watch out.

I don't think you are a troll, just a negative Nancy that will share your mostly negative thoughts and pass them off as fact, and act like anyone disagreeing with you is a sunshine pumper. And then a lot of your opinions end up being wrong, and then you won't eat any crow. And then there is the whole thing about you getting weird about Boz saying that he is going to the scrimmage and giving us updates.

Youre clearly one of those people that uses "racist" as a blanket term for everything you dont like as well.
Wheres your "outing" proof bozo? Submit it or eat a dick.
