Our baseball job is at hard gig though. No lottery scholarships and NIL for baseball isn’t really a priority for most of our big money folks.
Amen (plus no in-state tuition breaks for out of state students in neighboring states). On the flip side, we aren’t going to be any deeper talent and experience wise than we are this year.

Yep and yet the games and results are playing out much like the last few years. Every season seems the same.

Do we have any baseball insiders in here?

I always thought mrbroker and Alabama_Fan were the "insiders"

Is it for anyone’s big money folks?

I’ve always found the lottery scholarships thing to be overblown. It’s not like a lottery scholarship is a full ride, and UA gives out very lucrative scholarships in general.

I grew up in Tennessee, and it was cheaper for me to go to UA than UTk.

The Tennessee Hope scholarship is only $4,500 to $5,000 a year. A Crimson Achievement scholarship is worth $5,000 and requires a 25 or 26 ACT and 3.0+ or 3.5+ high school GPA.

UA recognition is $4,000 per year and only requires a 21+ ACT and 3.5+ GPA.

Those are harder requirements than the lottery scholarship but shouldn’t be too preclusive for baseball players. College baseball players generally come from wealthier and smarter families than football or basketball players.

It’s a limitation sure, but it shouldn’t preclude us from winning.

If Woods has a third pitch , he could be a weekend pitcher… good live arm

Not an insider - just an Alabama Fan who goes to games and occasionally picks up some ballpark chatter.

He’s about the only guy I have confidence in to close out a game.

Going to the game tomorrow in Huntsville only because this is their first time here and the only time I can watch and support the team, BUT after tomorrow I think I am done with this program until Byrne makes a change. I was always worried that if Bo left the recruiting would take a huge hit, but he isn't doing anything with the good recruiting he has so what's the difference? It's sad how far this program has fallen. I remember watching Bama make super regionals and hosting regionals all the way through my freshman year at UA.
