Lack of throwing enough innings could effect people. Sometimes it is a mechanics issue.

Arkansas trying to finish out the sweep at MSU
SC sweeps UF
UT sweeps LSU
UK sweeps AU
Vandy sweeps Mizzou
UGA had to rally to avoid getting swept by aTm

Brutal weekend for a lot of teams.

shite, Bo’s still got work to do. Amazing how we could fall so far so fast and how long it takes to get back among the contenders.

Well let’s hold off. I’m not an apologist for bad play by any means but their first two series were against the number one and four teams in the country. Baseball more than any other sports takes time to rebuild.

giving up 8 runs in the 9th inning is not a good sign you are rebuilding jack crap

Brad Bohannon says that Connor Prielipp "had a good week," but will not pitch this weekend.

He added that Antoine Jean is questionable for the series with tendonitis.

#Alabama baseball coach Brad Bohannon: "Connor Prielipp's actually had a good week to this point. He won't pitch this weekend (vs. Vols) but has made some progress, which is really positive."

Bohannon said there's no formal timetable for Prielipp to return.

He's not pitching this season. He's just not. The fact that Bo has given absolutely zero information on even the general nature of the injury is kind of crazy, to be honest. Not even a "lower body/upper body" injury bland description. Nothing.

They pretty badly need to win 2 of 3 this weekend against a good Tennessee club. Tennessee is solid, but they aren't quite as loaded as Arkansas/Ole Miss/Vanderbilt are.

3-6 with @ A&M, Auburn, @ Kentucky, Missouri on deck at least provides some light in the tunnel. 2-7 or 1-8.......not great.

With CP and AJ not available I have little faith we can turn it around with our bullpen the way it is . CP was a great way to start off every series . Not to mention our inconsistent hitting

At least it sounds like Jean is a short term thing, though tendinitis can be one of those recurring nightmare type deals.

I know colleges have the luxury of year round specialized training but at the HS level and kids playing multiple sports , the season starts too early (Feb- early March) for optimal arm care

The frick was wrong with going ahead and announcing Shamblin for the Sunday spot. He hurt too?

In his press conference, Coach Bohannon said it may be Jean - it would be a game time decision, Sounded like he was close to returning - if not this weekend then likely next weekend.

Crimson Corner: Despite Losing Streak, Alabama Baseball's Pitching Remains Solid (SI)

The Crimson Tide has now lost its last six games but with Connor Prielipp still unable to return to the mound, the team is still showing some great starts on the mound

Correction - Coach Bohannon actually said it would probably be Friday or Saturday when they make a decision on whether or Jean would be pitching Sunday. Also said Chase Lee would pitch this weekend.

Adding a Hamiter update: He did strain an oblique - might be available to DH or pinch hit this weekend, but he would not be in the field. He has been swinging a bat in practice this week, but it sounds like throwing is still an issue.

He also said TJ should close to 100% this weekend.
