Hayslip looks like a legitimate power guy. I think he's got 10 dingers this year.

i stand corrected on the leadoff batter having 1 hit in the last 4 games. I caught myself looking at the box scores before I posted.

Going from memory our leadoff batter has one hit in his last 4 games.
Your memory is pretty bad then!!! Wilson 8-12 in the A&M series
1-5 Samford
4-15 Barn series

our 1-3 batters were 1-11
Yet they got on base 4 times and scored 3 runs!!

For now I'm going to take this as Bohannon not wanting to start a guy that may only throw 1 inning again. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Wait, we did that against UNA.

I read one of the national writers say the plan is to use Prielipp out of the pen, which kind of makes sense if you are deadset on him throwing SEC series - especially if you aren't "comfortable" with the idea of an opener or something.
I'd assume Prielipp will have a scheduled relief appearance and will prepare almost like a start out in the pen. And then you can use him for as short or as long as needed. Maybe tag him with Jean again on Sunday.

After Dismal 10-Game Stretch, Alabama Baseball is Finally Playing Like a Complete Team
After losing nine of 10 games, the Crimson Tide has now won seven of its last eight games

Feels like Bama needs 5 out of 6 against UK and Mizz the next two weekends. Do that and you have a shot at .500 conference record which would be a very nice improvement benchmark for this program.
4 out of 6 is a must.

LSU beat Ole Miss last night and Ole Miss burned their closer at least for today (so did LSU).
Anywho, if LSU wins this series and we win our series, we move to a little place called 3rd in the west.

Unclear if it is a recommendation or a mandate:
Report: NCAA to announce 50% capacity limit for all baseball and softball championship events
The NCAA could soon announce a capacity limit for all baseball and softball championship events, which would include the College World Series and Women’s College World Series, per D1Baseball’s Kendall Rogers. According to an email obtained by Adam Sparks of the Tennessean, the NCAA has recommended Regional and Super Regional hosts allow no more than 50% capacity at stadiums due to COVID-19 protocols. The guidelines include all outdoor championship events on the spring calendar, including fall sports being played this season.
“The COVID-19 Medical Advisory Group recommended predetermined championship sites follow the guidelines established by the respective state and local authorities,” read the NCAA email. “The group recommended a venue capacity for outdoor championship events could rise to no more than 50 percent capacity if permitted by those governmental authorities.”
Tournament selections for the 2021 College World Series are scheduled for Monday, May 31. Games start with Regionals and continue through Super Regionals before the opening day of the College World Series on Saturday, June 19 at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Nebraska. The CWS Finals is expected to start Monday, June 28, and due to a best out of three series the final championship game could fall on either Tuesday, June 29, or Wednesday, June 30.
Selections for the 2021 Women’s College World Series are scheduled for Sunday, May 16. Regionals begin on Friday, May 21, and continue through Super Regionals set for the following week. Eight teams will play in the WCWS beginning Thursday, June 3, with the finale expected Wednesday, June 9.
