Awesome. We needed that. Three one-run games in a row. Wild.

Just dropping in so the resident Jarvis hater can be reminded that he not only doubled home the winning run but also singled to open the 8th and scored the tying run there.

Awesome win. Tough series in which we easily could have won all three or lost all three. So I’ll take 2 of 3 and move on.

Two series wins in a row . I will take it . Get CP back healthy and a series win or two or three is will be a lot easier

We really need to take the Kentucky series. And should take the Missouri series. Then it gets rough again.

For sure. I was counting on CP winning most of his starts and we could savage a game two somewhere . MSU and LSU will be tough

I see we won. I had to go to a dinner party, like the old person I am becoming, and missed the game. How did Connor do?

Only went one inning due to pitch count. Gave up first run.

Then brought In Jean in the 2nd and it was a complete clusterfrick that almost cost us the season.

Word in the ballpark (who knows if true?) was Connor was supposed to pitch 40 pitches but stopped after the first inning (16 pitches), so Jean went in unexpectedly to start the second inning and it was not pretty. Whatever the situation was, Jean never settled down. It was not a comforting feeling having to go to the bullpen so early in the game.

It turned out to be an exciting game, but I can do without that kind of excitement. Elated to get that win and proud of the guys for always battling back today.

I don’t think I could ever bring myself to feel sorry for them, but there were some visibly upset players in the opposing dugout after that walk off and well after the game. Given their current record, this series was probably their season.

Alabama Baseball Walks Off for Second Time in Three Games, Wins Game and Series Against Auburn 10-9 (SI)

While Connor Prielipp's return wasn't exactly the one that Crimson Tide fans wanted, Alabama's bats got the job done in the bottom of the ninth

Coach Bohannon’s post game press conference (per Coach - the plan was for ‘about 30’ pitches for Prielipp)

Post game 3: Coach Bohannon and Jim Jarvis

I was a little curious about that decision too. Seemed like if we knew he could only go an inning, we might’ve gone with him to start an inning in the middle of the game somewhere? That or Jean would know ahead of time he would be starting the second inning because you’d obviously already have a “long” guy ready to go and they didn’t really appear to be the case.

My immediate thought was that something must’ve gone wrong for Prielipp. You don’t run a guy out there to start and only give him 16 pitches.

he had 25

espn had a pitch count in the box so I am not sure where 16 came from . And if the 25 is correct and all the coaches knew it then Jean should have been mentally prepared to come in and the pitching coaches should have had him getting ready in the first inning. He was coming in by the third regardless
