Absolute bulkshit rankings. They would throw a fit if SEC teams didn't play each other and loaded up the top5.

This entire thing is to force southern teams to play up B1G teams at home in the winter.

The conference shouldn't stand for this again. We need equal representation; dual heads. Not one from Michigan who will slant things his conference's way

OSU is the only big10 team that plays a tough schedule having the play the other 3 teams. None of Oregon, Indiana, or PSU have played each other or will play each other.

So many people would be livid if Alabama beat 0 ranked teams, had a bunch of sloppy wins against unranked teams, and lost to the only ranked team they played. Yet PSU who has achieved nothing gets the benefit of the doubt. If Indiana plays a close game vs OSU, watch them put FOUR Big10 teams in

Also why the hell is Miami still in the top 10? Played a trash schedule and finally loses after struggling every week. Yet only drops 5 spots. Bama dropped more after losing each time.

Yeah, I don’t get Miami’s ranking. They existed off a steady diet of absolute cream puffs, having nearly lost a couple of them and then losing to a so so GT team.

Rankings are a snap shot of what the bracket would look like or it started today, lots of football still left to be played

If you dont win the SECCG than the goal would be to be 5-8 to host at home. Bama should be there if they win out and dont play for the title. UT goes down this weekend but will they fall below Bama due to the head to head. Maybe depends on how bad they lose to UGA on the road as we loss by less than 7 on the road to UT. Here is hoping they get "blowed" out.

I stand corrected.

Second ranking. This weekend might clear up some things in the ranking.

When it's all said and done I expect Alabama to be ranked between 5 and 8 if they win out.

2017 Alabama says hello. 2-1 vs Top 25 teams before the playoffs. LSU and Mississippi State weren't that highly ranked. Auburn was the highest ranked team they played and Alabama lost to them.

Didn't Penn State have a 1 point lead over the very Wisconsin team we annihilated in the 4th quarter? And Indiana has only played one team with a winning record? I legit can't take these rankings seriously.

No the rankings are a snapshot of the narrative this B1G AD led committee is trying to put out there.

They are setting things up to ensure they have 3 B1G teams to host playoff games and people are sitting back and okay with it.

They are also using Alabama as a fire wall and keeping us behind Miami to ensure they can control how many home matches SEC teams get in the same token.

None of how they have ranked these teams makes sense. How is Indiana below Penn State?

If you're saying Penn State playing a harder opponent and losing is valued than why isn't Alabama and Ole Miss ranked over Miami??

It's just bullshite they are lining up to ensure a specific outcome in the end. B1G home playoff matched (revenue).

Same can be said of every other year. They always do this. The motivation just changes from year to year. What they don't ever do in these first few sets of rankings is arrange the teams by who they think is actually the best. There is too much money at stake to allow a committee of people to pick the field. That has always been the fatal flaw in this system.

I'm still waiting on an explanation on how we're now in the 11th season of this and Oklahoma, OSU, Clemson, and Michigan have all had their ADs on the committee and Arkansas now has their SECOND AD on the commission before Alabama's AD gets on it. And unless the way they select the committee changes the earliest ours can be on it is 2027.

Doesn't matter. Win and we're in. Nothing to complain about.

PSU at #4 is a head scratcher for sure. They'll have a permanent playoff spot from now on losing to Michigan & OSU every year & beating all the other tomato cans on their schedule.

The old BCS system would have 7-2 Alabama ranked #1 right now. I thought that was interesting.

Man STFU

You such an obvious troll. Always a negative slant or indifference when it comes to things which go against Alabama

Never seen that indifference when it comes to being critical and shitting on team though
