I’m getting nervous they may let him go.
They are definitely going to fire him. While there is an ungodly amount of bitching about the refs, it’s near universal how pissed off they are about how poorly Auburn played in the 2nd half. In the words of one of them “we had a plan that was working great so we quit doing it”

They are REALLY pissed about how poorly Freeze can evaluate QB.

I don’t feel bad for Auburn but SEC officiating is terrible and has been for a number of years.

I go back to the Tennessee game in 2022. Not just the pass interference penalty on the interception that would have won Alabama game, but earlier in that game the refs lost track of what down it was. That’s literally one of the most basic responsibilities of the refs and they failed at that.

I agree the calls against them have been bad. That fumble call last night on the goal line definitely could have been called either way. It was that close. Not scoring a touch down there probably cost them that game. Auburn has always played on emotion more than most teams. That play took the wind out of their sails. Teams need to score touchdowns from first and goal on the one foot line. We are guilty of this.

Multi Billion dollar sport still using part time refs. It’s insane.

I ALWAYS revel in their misery because they are (for the most part) just awful people. Loud, rude, obnoxious, petty, whiny, arrogant when they have ZERO reason to be arrogant and they run their big f-ing mouths ALL the time.

They talk about "class" in their weird "creed" but they're hands down the most classless fan base in the SEC and that's saying a lot.

The majority of their fans that I’ve met hate Alabama more than they love their own program and university. How many games have gone their way in that stadium in the past because of favorable officiating throughout the years ? Them complaining about that is rich.

The officiating was bad, but Freeze is awful. Almost every single game against a viable opponent since hes been there they are so incompetent in the 2nd half. Despite the blown calls, they had every chance in the world to win the game. They have way too much talent on offense to look like they do. Their defense is legit, but their offense looks like a d2 offense. And hes supposed to be an offensive coach. He visibly cant handle the pressure of being auburn's coach. He won't make it to the end of the season.

I am not one to blame the refs for any game but I will say this….

Auburns season has been GREATLY impacted by some atrocious calls. I don’t remember a single team in a single year to get hosed as much as they have. It’s wild.

IMO, the only one that was egregious was the uncalled Oklahoma hidden WR play.
Even though they had plenty of calls that went against them last night, I think the replay reviews got them all correct.
Now, the clapping / time out call was a little weird. Georgia needed that TO because the play clock was about to expire, but the Auburn safety was indeed clapping (similar to the non call in the Iron Bowl down on the goal line) and Kirby was trying to point that out.

Enjoyed every play of that shitshow. A couple of observations: you couldn’t have reversed that fumble/TD no matter which way it was called on the field. It was too close to call and certainly too close to claim incontrovertible evidence for reversal. That was the worst officiated game I’ve seen in years. The final 2 minutes of the first half took 37 minutes to complete. Why? Because they were reviewing every single play. The missed calls and the blown calls both ways were absolutely ridiculous and indefensible. Kirby’s phantom time out, Auburn head hunting Gunner Stockton specifically and Georgia in general and the refs did very little to get control of it until they threw a few flags late in the game. They should have gotten both teams together early on and told them if it didn’t stop, the unsportsmanlike flags were going to fly and players were going to get ejected early and often. The level of officiating for an SEC game of that caliber is embarrassing and the league is doing very little to improve it. Again, it’s karma coming home to roost and frick Auburn, that’s what you deserve but between last night and the Oklahoma game, the officiating has been a disaster.
