Welcome to Louisiana. The state as a whole is full of human garbage, but south of I-10 is a goddamn third world country.

I'm from south of I-10. My dad didn't learn English until he went to school when he was 6 years old. My grandparents never spoke English. They spoke French. I take umbrage that southern Louisiana is a third world country. Southern Louisiana has a culture all it's own. The food is great and the people are nice. People still wave when passing you on the road. Folk still stop and help other folk.

I live in Houston now with huge freeways and mid rises and high rises throughout the city. The city is busy, the people are busy and no one has time for others. You have to make appointments to visit. I love going back to where I'm from. Things slow down. The people aren't so busy, the roads aren't so crowded and my kinfolk are the happiest people I know. Judging a group of people from a message board isn't always the best place to pass judgment on people as a general rule.

My grandparents and extended family are from the Black Belt, so minus the French my times going back from Atlanta there are very similar to yours, even down to it's outside image as poor and worthless.

This place isn’t too bad. We have a couple who get sideways from time to time but overall it is good discussion IMO. The Rant ....you really can’t comment or start a thread without “melting “ Dumbest shite I have I ever seen but I guess it makes somebody’s day

It might not be the best for passing judgement, but it's about the only interaction many people have with LSU fans. So it is what it is.

Even your own fans don't like many LSU fans. I drove through Baton Rogue back in September on a gameday. Stopped in at Chik-fil-a for some lunch. State Trooper was sitting at the table behind me(and it was good to see many people being really nice to him).

But while he was sitting the trooper and some other fans were having a conversation and the state trooper was talking about how that game wasn't a big deal(FCS opponent), but then mentioned that the big games were an absolute nightmare to work because of all the stupid fans. The other guy was agreeing and mentioned that he no longer went to the big games and didn't regret it at all.

So I mean, LSU fans kind of have a bad reputation and it's pretty much well deserved.

The rant is a shithole. They let LSU fans run wild. You can’t have a serious sports conversation

It's not just LSU fans though. TT9 who is known here, is an incredibly pithy and arrogant poster and extremely dismissive of LSU. Many times I've tried to have a sports convo but it won't happen.

As the 19 season progressed it was obvious this wasn't the same ol LSU. However when I tried to start a convo bama fan would retort back with "we've beaten you 8 straight, why would anything be different". At some point bama fans had to know this wasn't the same LSU team.

I will give you an example of the type of convo I was trying to start. When we knew LSU was going to play Clemson I went to the Clemson SB Nation board. Believe it or not I had some great football convo with those guys. There were only a couple of pricks. They thought Venables and the inverted Tampa 2 defense was going to shut down LSU. I asked why. They gave me their reasons why they believed they would. I responded with the way LSU's route tree was set up we would stress every level of their secondary and Moss wouldn't be accounted for and would have a good game.

This went on for a week. We got into scheme vs scheme. Player vs player. I didn't make any of them change their mind and they didn't make change mine but the football talk was great. After the game I went back to read the post game thread. I politely mentioned that until you play LSU, you can't really grasp how good the offense is. It got something like 22 recs. They forwarded congrats and welcomed me to come back anytime. So I drop in from time to time and it's all good and respectful. That's the way it should be. That said I've only seen a couple of bama fans who ever wanted to have a legit convo instead of the dismissive comments.

Would discussion of creating a new SEC sports board warrant a ban? I’m a developer and I’m fairly sure I could create something fairly comparable to this site, at least on a smaller scale anyway.

I know this board is great, and I enjoy all the Bama posters, but I’d like somewhere to have reasonable discussions with other SEC fans.

I would like that too.

If you think stupid fans is an LSU exclusive, I have some land for you. It is what it is. Your fanbase has just as many.

Alabama definitely has some terrible fans. I'd probably want to blow my head off if I still lived in Alabama and had to deal with the fans on a daily basis.

But it's rare that I see them being as vile and hate filed as the average LSU fan. LSU fans take pride in it.

Bruh, I was in Lowes the other day. Two guys wearing bama shirts saw my LSU hat and immediately wanted to start crap with me. I said nothing, I was just walking by. I very sternly advised them they needed to pick someone else.

On the other hand, I have a good friend who is a bama grad and when LSU plays bama he lets me hang my LSU flag next to his bama flag. Winning flag stays up until the end of the next day.

Both sides man. Some good and some bad. More good than bad though.

This site, being a primarily a LSU one, has WAY more LSU trolls than any other fan base. Just a numbers thing on this site at least. There’s definitely some Bama posters that contribute to the trolling though.

Actually I did enjoy reading the season’s perspective from LSU fans. It was an awesome season for you guys. Makes me remember Bama’s 2009 season when everything lined up perfectly. I know you guys had one hell of a ride.

We actually knew that y’all’s first game. That offense was completely different from we usually see from LSU. Y’all’s defense looked different too.

I wasn't convinced LSU's offense was legitimately really good until the Texas game - and then confirmed the Florida game.

I thought they were better, but I thought they'd be better after a decent year in 2018 and Burrow getting better as the year went on. I didn't think they'd get that much better
