Alabama’s Nick Dunlap Reaches 2023 U.S. Amateur Championship Semifinals
Dunlap birdied the 19th hole to win his quarterfinal match, becoming the sixth golfer in program history to reach the event’s semifinals
CHERRY HILLS VILLAGE, Colo. – Alabama men's golfer Nick Dunlap has advanced to the semifinals of the 2023 United States Amateur Championship, winning his quarterfinal match Friday against Jackson Koivun in dramatic fashion with a birdie on the first extra hole.
With his victory, Dunlap, who was just named to the United States Walker Cup Team last month, became the sixth UA men's golfer in program history to reach the semifinals of a U.S. Amateur, and the first to do so since Justin Thomas in 2012.
Live television coverage of Dunlap's semifinal matchup will air Saturday from 4-5 p.m. CT on the Golf Channel and 5-7 p.m. CT on NBC.

Sinz comes to the Capstone for her final season of eligibility after a three-year standout career at Auburn
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama head coach Mic Potter announced the addition of the program's second transfer this summer as Auburn-transfer Elina Sinz will join the women's golf program for her final season of eligibility in 2023-24.
Sinz, a native of Katy, Texas, comes to Tuscaloosa with an impressive resumé across her previous three years. She joins Illinois transfer Mattie Frick, who signed with the Crimson Tide in July.

Auburn guy was up 3 with 8 holes to go and lost 5 of next 7 holes . was hoping to see the iron bowl of golf tomorrow but wasn't to be. Also if Dunlap wins he joins only Tiger woods to win Usga Jr and Usga amateur Championships.
