Alabama Finishes in Ninth Overall at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate
The No. 12-ranked Alabama men's golf team finished play at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Sunday with a team score of 4-under par 860 (280-291-289) to place ninth overall. Freshmen Nick Dunlap and Jonathan Griz paced the team as the duo carded matching 54-hole scores of 3-under par 213 to lead the Crimson Tide.
Griz (74-70-69) finished tournament play with a final round 3-under 69 to lead the team with his second consecutive sub-par score of the season. Thomas Ponder was the only other UA golfer to break par on Sunday with a final round 2-under 70 as he tied for 30th with an even par 216 (72-74-70). Meanwhile, Dunlap, who carded the team's lowest round with the opening day 65, tied Griz for 16th overall with his 3-under 213 (65-73-75).
The 14-team field featured eight teams ranked among the top 25 and 12 in the top 50.

Alabama Concludes Fall Season at the Landfall Tradition
The Alabama women's golf team is set to close the 2022 fall campaign this weekend at the three-day, 54-hole Landfall tradition. The 18-team event, which will take place Friday through Sunday, will be played on the par 72, 6,150-yard Country Club of Landfall – Dye Course in Wilmington, N.C.
The Crimson Tide will tee off Friday morning, with tournament play beginning at 8:30 a.m. CT off holes No. 1 and No. 10.

Alabama men's golfer Nick Dunlap will begin play alongside 36 of the nation's best amateurs at the second edition of the East-West Matches at Maridoe Golf Club.
This weekend's three-day event, which will be held Friday through Sunday, features a Ryder Cup-style format on the par 72, 7,351-yard Maridoe Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas.
Dunlap will compete with the East team in what will be his second consecutive appearance in the event, which divides teams up evenly with the Mississippi River serving as the border.
Tee times begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday and 8:00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Alabama Men’s Golf Head Coach Jay Seawell Announces Three Additions during the Early Signing Period
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama men's golf head coach Jay Seawell announced Monday that Luke Coyle, Jack Mitchell and Tristin Wisener have signed National Letters of Intent and will join the Crimson Tide program for the 2023-24 season.
The trio have all had outstanding prep careers and are expected to make immediate contributions to the program for years to come.

Alabama Newcomer Kaitlyn Schroeder Accepts Invitation to Compete at the 2023 Augusta National Women’s Amateur
Alabama women's golfer Kaitlyn Schroeder has accepted an invitation to compete at the 2023 Augusta National Women's Amateur which will be held March 29-April 1 in Augusta, Ga.
Schroeder, who is among 70 of the top women's amateur players in the nation that will compete at the three-day tournament, signed with the Crimson Tide during the early signing period last November and joined the women's golf team as an early enrollee this January.

Alabama men's golf will return to action this weekend when it travels to Panama City Beach, Fla., to compete at the Watersound Invitational, hosted by Florida State. The three-day, 54-hole event will take place Sunday through Tuesday on the par 72, 7,246-yard Sharks Tooth Golf Club course in Panama City Beach, Fla.

Good thing they aren't playing today. The wind is a beast down here today and it's cold and the balls would be flying all over the place. Tomorrow will be chilly again, but the wind will be much more tame. Good luck, Bama golfers. I might have to drive over to Watersound to watch the Tide roll.

Alabama’s Nick Dunlap Named SEC Freshman of the Week
University of Alabama men's golfer Nick Dunlap has been recognized by the Southeastern Conference as the Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday. Dunlap becomes the first UA golfer to earn the league's weekly award since March 4, 2020 when Canon Claycomb was selected for the honor.
