There are 4 more spots for sure

16 + 8 = 24 in the class now & Pettway doesn't count toward the yearly limit so -1 = 23

27 is the number (might have room for 28)

23 + 4 = 27

Saban and MC have a plan for Mama we will see if he bites, he is very good at that sort of thing

Don't want mama. Hard to stay in football shape, especially for a guy his size, with a 2 year hiatus from the game

Our last Mormon was a boss, Cale Iorg on the baseball team..and then he left for his mission and never came back.

I think if he comes to Bama he might not do a mission, not sure though

ETA: It is easy to sell the "play now while you're in your prime" angle I think

I don't know about that. I know some Mormons and they put that mission stuff above everything; career, family, everything. I know a chemical engineer that gave up an offer to become Chevron's head of the science and technology department worldwide, for his mission he hadn't done and cost himself millions. Didn't even think twice about it. I would not count on that at all. If he says he's going on his mission, most likely he is.

Think about this class if we finish with Elam, Evans, and Marlon. I don't like our chances with Chi, but if he wants to play Marlon "there's a chance".

Marlon Humphrey:
247- 5 star, #1 CB, #10 overall
Rivals- 5 star, #2 CB, #9 overall
Scout- 5 star, #4 CB, #30 overall
ESPN- 5 star, #5 CB, #15 overall

Tony Brown:
247- 5 star, #2 CB, #16 overall
Rivals- 5 star, #3 CB, #25 overall
Scout- 5 star, #2 CB, #4 overall
ESPN- 5 star, #2 CB, #8 overall

Christian Miller:
247- 5 star, #3 OLB, #14 overall
Rivals- 4 star, #4 OLB, #65 overall
Scout- 4 star, #5 OLB, #80 overall
ESPN- 4 star, #1 OLB, #48 overall

Rashaan Evans:
247- 5 star, # 1 OLB, #11 overall
Rivals- 5 star, #1 OLB, #14 overall
Scout- 5 star, #1 OLB, #9 overall
ESPN- 4 star, #2 OLB, #52 overall

Da'Shawn Hand:
247- 5 star, #2 DE, #7 overall
Rivals- 5 star, #1 DE, #1 overall
Scout- 5 star, #3 DE, #12 overall
ESPN- 5 star, #2 DE, #6 overall

Hootie Jones:
247- 4 star, #9 Safety, #111 overall
Rivals- 4 star, #4 Safety, #42 overall
Scout- 4 star, #6 Safety, #70 overall
ESPN- 4 star, #3 Safety, #27 overall

Matt Elam:
247- 5 star, #3 DT, #21 overall
Rivals- 3 star, #26 DT, N/A overall
Scout- 4 star, #11 DT, #137 overall
ESPN- 4 star, #26 DT, N/A overall

This is becoming a lot of work so I'm gonna stop here, but look at this shite. 6 of them are five stars somewhere, and I left a couple of guys off.

Nvm on Mama he is out

USCw 247 site hinting he's a silent to them and WILL take his mission trip (Credit to Mag for finding)

Doesn't make sense to me, he needs development and could be a 3 yr player and NFL draft pick in 3 yrs why throw that away??

Ah well

Matt Elam (@FballIsLife69) told me last night he may decide a week earlier than his current scheduled signing day announcement. #Bama, #BBN

He's taking another unofficial with us this weekend and will attend the basketball game against UGA.

Both coaching staffs will meet with him on Wednesday in Elizabethtown.

This is so frustrating.

If you guys offer Damien Harris and it comes down to Kentucky and Bama again, my head may explode.

I don't understand why he is a take for USC since they are under scholarship reduction and he will only play one year. Who knows if he comes back? He also doesn't seem physically dominant enough to be worth the one and done risk.

good news for us. Elam knows that Alabama is to football what Kentucky is to basketball.

Saban was asked a direct question about Jacob Coker. Declined to answer it because it'd be like talking about a recruit.

Here's a nice quiz for you gents to take:

LINK

This is the response I got:

quote:

You got: A HUGE PENIS
HOLY COW. Your penis is gigantic. GIGANTIC. Your penis is literally the biggest thing within the tri-state area. Your penis is bigger than a small elephant. It is bigger than, like, a tree. A big ol’ tree. Probably a coniferous. Lots of branches on your penis. You must wake up every morning and thank the good lord above. You are truly blessed. Congrats.

I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, but I'm reminded that every year around this time it seems that we're going to end with an amazing finish. Sure, there is usually a surprise or two, but for the most part we miss on our fair share down the stretch. Not saying we'll strike out on all of our big targets, but remember that it's unrealistic to think that we could finish with four more five stars.

I'll hang up and listen.
