Cyrus is always going to have problems because of his height.

I think Peppers was pretty high on staffs board and they were gonna take advantage of him possibly OVing but interference kept that from happening from Mich staff or he might've shut it down himself who knows

There has still been no contact, so I doubt they were banking on anything happening.

This makes no sense. His first year at the position and y'all expect him to be infallible. The guy is a true sophomore. He's as tall or taller than half of the corners in the NFL. Height is overrated. 5'9" and up and you are tall enough to play corner. Anything over 6' is a luxury not a necessity.

No. Expect him to be in position to make a play? Yes. What have you seen from him that makes you believe that he is a good corner? The interception for ATM could have been called back because of defensive pass interference committed by Cyrus Jones.

Take off the crimson glasses for a second. If he played at any other SEC school and performed the same exact way, would you think that he is a good corner? Look at VH3, Robinson from LSU, etc. for examples on first year guys who do not consistently find themselves out of position and physically outmatched.

Saban and Rumph having in home visit with Christian Miller tomorrow evening. Saban is also expected to visit Fournette tomorrow. I'm guessing earlier in the day

A lot of recruiting work for a guy headed to Texas

The thing with guys like Belue, he was always in position last year, just didn't find the ball.

Cyrus is rarely in position. I'm starting to think Saban's secondary is to complicated for our own good.

some of the best corners in the nfl are 5'10". no corner i can think of has done well in their first year in our system. we said the same thing about all of them when they were blowing plays starting out, most of them ended in the pros

If Cyrus was really playing this year because he is better than Eddie Jackson/Maurice Smith it would appear our secondary is in trouble next year unless real improvement is made in the off season. Cyrus has some upside obviously, and he has decent ball skills. It didn't seem like he improved at all over the season in terms of physicality or awareness though.

This is pretty much the dumbest argument that can be made.

If Nuss goes to UW could Cornwell go with him?

Doubt it. Washington isn't gonna give him what he has here.

An all world OL class

Towers to throw to like Raheem Falkins, Derek Kief, Cameron Sims, and OJ Howard

A good run game to take pressure off of him

Almost a guaranteed National Title during his time here

I highly doubt that.

Would be a terrible move on his part IMO.
