I'd just like to say my QB scored 84 points in FF tonight.
God Bless Navy.

Were all the details of the crime reported? Did he not actually beat someone, and Hayes and Williams did? What are those two doing?

We forced out Charlie Kirschman for a strained vagina, didn't offer Keenan Allen's older sister, whoever Clowney wanted in a package deal and refused to let Winston play baseball but we are going to take a kid back who helped knock over a student and use his ACT card? As an alum with a little sister currently on campus (who isn't getting her tuition free btw) letting him back no matter how much/little he was involved in the ACT card incident is a jump the shark moment for Saban. We have some unpredictable movements with our offers/lack of offers sometimes.
I can't imagine what his conditions to come back are. Don't use a stolen ACT card? Don't jump a regular student?

I notice you didn't acknowledge the 2nd part. What conditions can you give this guy? I mean from the released details either he:
Used an ACT card he received from Hayes/Williams with a guys name/picture on it that wasn't Hayes or Williams in a vending machine. This while being an athlete and not HAVING to rely on ACT cards for food in the first place.
Or worse, participated in the actual assault. It's possible being a 2012 recruit and the date of the incident he was a minor but unlikely.

Also the new 247 Recruits Crystal Ball is pretty telling just a few days into it. Not even our own commits that have made picks (Miller seems to be the only one so far) have us picking up anyone new.![]()
In case you guys didn't notice this was sarcasm.

Taking him back though after what he did, considering some of the trivial stuff we've ran guys off for in the past/guys we didn't offer but should have in the big picture/pure crap offers this staff has made at points
It just doesn't make any sense.
Pettway could be the first of any of these guys to show actual contrition. Several of the guys, such as Sentimore, seemed to harbor ill feelings toward Bama after they left and probably didn't want to come back.
Knowing Saban has run guys off for "trivial" actions in the past should help ease any concerns over bringing Pettway back.

He was dumb enough to play a part in an ACT card crime though, however little or much he was involved. He was on campus with anything he could ever want whenever he wanted it and he chose to participate in getting a few bucks off a guys Student ID with his picture on it. That is probably the most petty crime I can think you can commit on UA's campus mainly because of how pathetic it was. Jimmy Johns was Scarface, Pettway is basically Tyrone Biggums holding up his neighbor with a sock on his head.

Holy frick. he isn't even on the team yet! And may not be. Hold this shite until later and then deal with it! The guy got kicked off the team and has served his time.

Why are you such a chicken little? As you said, Miller is the only person to make picks so far, and the three picks he has made (Cook to FSU, Carter to Georgia, and Fournette to LSU) are hardly controversial. Cook and Fournette have overwhelmingly been crystal balled by the "experts" to the same school that Miller selected. Carter is the only one currently predicted by the "experts" to choose Bama, but since 10/1 Georgia has been trending strongly. Even Charles Power, a guy who covers recruiting for BOL, predicted Carter to Georgia.
So with ONE commit participating in 247's crystal ball, and with that one commit making predictions that conform to the predictions of the experts, what, exactly, was the point you were trying to make?

That he would be the perfect LSU fan. He posts just like the ones on LSUrb.

Did you not see I was joking? Everybody said this Recruits Pick Crystal Ball would be a train wreck and so far it has been.

I look at like this...after Yeldon, Cyko, Liner, Calloway and Foster we were due for some flippage at some point. We are going to lode battles. Dint understand why people are freaking out and/or bad mouthing the players.
Good luck to Roberts and/or SDH and Bessent if they decide to go to the Plains, every game except the Iron Bowl. Class will still be top 5 even with the possibility of losing a few to Auburn.
If we get Hootie and Marlon all will be forgotten anyway lol

Williams was the one who layed the sucker punch
How I heard it happened was Hayes drove and got out with Williams. Pettway distracted the student by asking for a lighter or smoke or something and Williams jumped him then Pettway took the backpack and walked back to the car, Williams and Hayes got a little carried away with the beat down and Pettway blessed them out in the car (this was all according to the story Eddie Williams told police, he made a deal). Eddie identified the other 2 and Calloway who just used the dude's card.
I honestly thought out of all 4 Calloway would be let back but also heard Pettway also turned himself in while the other 2 had to be arrested after word came out that Eddie had flipped on them for a lesser sentence (he had more charges they were gonna slap him with). That might have had something to do with staff's decision to let him back.
I agree on most points about trusting staff and having faith in there ability to keep a 20 yr old knucklehead straight. There is even precedence with a guy formerly on roster being relatively quiet while here (Rolando McClain) who I honestly think was more dangerous than Pettway and Saban sort of took him as a project. I call it his pet project, if he takes Pettway back I can almost guarantee he will be included and watched a little more closely. I know what they did looked REEEAAALLY bad and it was but if he shows remorse and takes responsibility for his part in what happened and Saban has enough faith to let him back and feels he can be a part of this team again, well then I trust him. Everyone deserves a chance at redemption if they've earned it (and if he comes back I trust they wouldn't let him back or let him play unless he's earned it). That's my opinion on how I feel about the matter.

You are exactly right but at the same time recruiting has a "script" every year that guys like Scalici or Scarbo write about. If we are going to let Auburn beat us for the 5-10 ranked guys in state then why then hell take the nobody from Hillcrest?

Top 5... There is almost no scenario where this class is not number one.
