I make a living off of second chances.

In this instance, I feel comfortable saying I don't support it.

Those fellas saw the UA gravy train, and shat on it.

They don't deserve a second chance.

I don't care to bring him back, in fact don't want him back but I'm not the judge and jury over allowing a human being a second chance after screwing up.

I also won't stop supporting my team and our coach because of this.

Then again, I'm not perfect and don't expect others to be so...

I just went back and looked at some old articles. Hayes (like EW) confessed. Doesn't appear DJ did; not sure if that's a factor. Also seems to be some discrepancy between articles as to whether he was actively involved in the beatings and robberies, watched, or waited in the car.

It doesn't seem appropriate to me to allow any of the 3 involved in the robbery back into the school where they beat and robbed two of their fellow students. And while they may not have had a previous arrest, CNS said that they were the 4 players on the team who he had the most issues with before this incident (paraphrase). Not sure why you would allow that element to return.

It is all about winning. Any means, the only thing Saban should care about is a National Championship. I agree with your sentiments than he shouldn't be back on the team, but if Saban thinks it makes the team better, I don't care what he did.

No one cares unless it somehow indicates he's favoring FSU

I didn't even notice the towel in that picture. I thought it was to just admire his badassery.

Alabama towel....does it mean he is leaning to Bama, or he uses Bama to wipe his sweat off? When I was in HS I'd try to always get some version of the other team's mascout on my towel so I could wipe my sweat on them, sort of like a form of disrespect.

Yep "coaches from FSU" ie Pruitt and friends are at the game so he is trolling them.

Matt Elam finished for this game with a left knee injury. 7:00 to go.

Not sure of the extent. Hopefully nothing serious.

No it isn't. It's college football, not the NFL.

Is Pettway even worth it as a normal recruit? Is he gonna step in and take a starting job that may not even be there for him?

He knows the system and they liked him at one point, but is he a must have on scholarship? Then you throw in the hullabaloo about his arrest...

Bring back a guy who committed a crime (Pettway) but lets keep Eddie Jackson so buried on the depth chart for skipping a test? great message Saban.

I don't know what we're getting at here, but my stance is all that matters is winning championships.

So you'd be OK with Alabama having a team full of roided out felons ala 80s Miami as long as it resulted in championships?

I was about to respond with the same. Oklahoma of the 80s was just as bad too.

Well, his dad is one of the greats of Alabama. He probably has so many Bama towels lying around that he uses them to strain soup.

But if he's anything like his dad in terms of explosive talent (albeit at a different position), I'd be excited to see MH at Bama. I certainly wouldn't want him wasting his talents at that thug university in Florida. I never watched Bobby live, but my own dad did and is a huge fan.
