Johnson can play Safety too, though. We can't miss out on a Top 5 player in-state to FSU. Sends a bad message.

Yea but he doesn't want to play safety and we already have the kid from Mobile who I believe may be rated close to the same. He may get a offer though who knows. Heard the Flowers kid may end up at safety then we got the kid from Texas so it could happened. Not a big lose though IMO. Everyone knows we get RBs. Would be pissed if they got Payne. Forget payne what about Humphrey frick those guys.

I agree TS. Pruitt is really digging into our state a great deal. This weekend could be a great chance to show recruits on the field the way we conduct business. I only hope the bye week blues dont get us. RTR

They were getting in on good prospects before Pruitt. They are simply doing what we do to LSU. I think we help them out though by not going really hard at some of the guys they get. Them getting Humphrey would be like us getting LC.

Johnson grew up an FSU fan. May be originally from Florida; can't remember.

Mine too. It's like I can see it coming from a mile away, but that doesn't mean it will suck any less

Is it safe to say that we are now trailing for Marlon?

Man it's hard to say either way. The fact that he travelled all the way to Clemson to see FSU last month and then brought the whole family to FSU this past weekend on an unofficial visit does not bode well for us. Add in that there is a strong rumor that he has a gf on the FSU track team, and he is passionate about track as well.

Advantages on our side are CNS, dad's legacy, and distance from home.

If I had to put in a crystal ball pick, I would say FSU. But I don't have any sources or anything like that. Just an avid follower of recruiting.

Bobby Humphrey is employed by Bryant Bank . . . just sayin. The Capstone has been good to that family.

Don't want to bring this back up but I believe that the fact we didn't offer Madrecus kind of makes his dad irrelevant in this situation. Just my opinion. Cant say his dad went to Bama or his dad works for such and such because it didn't get his other son to Bama.

Not to mention Bobby has said that he is going to let Marlon make his own decision. The flip side of that is what else was Bobby supposed to say when asked?

If Marlon really wants to go to FSU, I don't see his dad standing in the way of that decision. Most dads want to see their kids happy and successful. If Marlon can be happy and successful pursuing both track and football, why would his dad stop him from doing that?

Yeah, if Marlon wants to go to FSU, more power to him. He's going to be great wherever he goes.

Rumor is that Hootie Jones will not be taking his OV to Bama this weekend.

He changed it to an unofficial visit

If we straight DESTROY LSU (we won't) imagine what that does for some of the guys visiting.

Especially LF.

I hope Cameron Robinson is in LF's ear all day, and Marlon's too. Future first rounders gotta stick together.

Actually, that helps our situation believe it or not. Madrecus didn't get the Bama offer and signed with Arkansas, then got into trouble. Word is Bobby doesn't want the same to happen to Marlon. He'd prefer he stay close to home.
