He would be a transfer, not a recruit so no to he 25, yes to he 85.

For some reason I was thinking that transfers count against the 25 initial counter limit. It's been so long since we've had one I'm not sure though.

If DC is so high on Coker, wonder if he'll try to snag him for Auburn especially if Marshall struggles 2nd half of the season.

I never thought he would be that good, but I wasn't really qualified to say (I am more of an o-line coach guy).

Coker's family are BAMA people, wanted a BAMA offer from the beginning and we we showed interest VERY LATE, he was really torn, but remained faithful to his commitment. I don't think DC can overcome the family's desire for Alabama.

If ya'll want, and if I have time, I could do an analysis on Coker at some point today.

I won't do one if nobody asks though. My new assignment in Idaho is a bitch.

That would be great. Whenever you get a chance, could you also do one on Luke Del Rio? I'm just curious to see how the quarterbacks stack up against each other.

No, not yet. Buddy of mine that lives down the street from me has and he enjoys it. Also, I live maybe 2 miles from the place so maybe I should go one day.

BOL is reporting that David Cornwell's injury will keep him out for the rest of the season. Doctors expect him to make a full recovery and be ready for spring practice.

Article about Jacob Coker...

LINK
quote:

There’s one wrinkle that could prevent the Tide from landing Coker – it sounds as though his family is still a little salty over the way Nick Saban recruited him. Apparently, they wanted an immediate, serious offer, and when Saban waited around and made moves on other prospects, the Cokers ran out of patience and committed to FSU. Saban has been quoted as calling Coker’s move a mistake, and given the current situation, it looks like he was right.

We still think that the Mobile native could end up in Tuscaloosa, though. As it stands, here’s the chances each school has of landing Coker:

Alabama: 65%
LSU: 30%
Auburn: 5%

Let me guess. All of their "insiders" are saying LSU lock while all of their chicken littles are accusing us of paying off the whole damn town?
