Looks like Kirby is putting in work..

quote:

"Rashaan first met Kirby when he was in 9th grade. I can't tell you how big a deal it is for Rashaan to have a relationship with a coach like that. Kirby has watched him develop as a player and a person for the last three years and I think it gives them a comfort level with each other that it would be hard for any other college coach to duplicate."

"We sat down with Coach Saban and Coach Smart for a while and got a chance to ask them whatever we wanted. Coach Saban feels like Rashaan can play a role for them as a freshman as a pass rushing threat. They see him as an outside linebacker that rushes the passer 75 percent of the time and drops back maybe 25 percent of the time. We brought up the recent commitment from Christian Miller and they said they seem him playing a different role, probably a little more focused on coverage."

Really liking this quote.

Why would you celebrate getting Ogletree? He is lazy and runs terrible routes. S glad he is gone from Dallas!

I gotta say I'm extremely disappointed in our recruiting thread participation. At this time last year we had at least 500 pages in the true MEGATHREAD. We are 40 pages behind Auburn for fricks sake!! Pick it up people!!!!

Bro, I feel ya, but u gotta remember, last year was so dramatic though... Foster, Liner, Nkemdiche were the headliners but then we had the flips (Dodd, Burns, etc), the game players (Langley, Ramsey, etc), and the guys we all loved up until NSD that ended up elsewhere for whatever reason (Bell, Conner, Vanderdoes).

Also, the decision to anchor last season's thread really rubbed some great posters the wrong way. Several have returned, but there are quite a few that rode off into the sunset, among other places......

People were pissed the thread got anchored? That's kind if weird.

I don't think we are behind auburn, I don't think they started a new thread.

I was all for the NO Justice, NO Peace approach:

But I guess cooler heads prevailed.

Will be hard to duplicate the MEGA thread ever again. That shite was the cherry.

OT Ross Pierschbacher says he is within a week of making a decision. Between us, Iowa, and Stanford. Where do you guys think he ends up?

Gotta think it is us our Stanford (and I haven't seen much heat relative to Stanford).

Being that I've never been to Cedar Falls, Iowa, I assume there isn't much hustle and bustle of a huge town.

One of the things he said about Stanford was that it was huge and fast, while Bama was a smaller environment that was easy to access things. He's said before he enjoys the latter over the former, so I assume Bama has that advantage.

I'd say Bama...

Just dropping in to let you boys know Daron Payne is all Bama. I heard apparently he already declared UA his leader (?), but I spoke to a couple coaches tonight to get some scoop ......that one is largely wrapped up.
