Roc's dad did an interview following his son's BCW visit. He insinuated what most of us have suspected - that Bama is so loaded at RB that Roc hasn't been a priority. Of course Auburn is showing him lots of love but sounds like he's willing to leave the door open for Bama for the foreseeable future

I think if we push for him he will commit. I think he will commit to AU before that happens.

I agree. I don't think we'll get LF either but we'll get someone in the class comparable to Roc. There are a few possibilities out there and lots of RBs who want to come to Bama

@AndrewJBone: #Rivals100 QB David Cornwell (@DavidCornwell5) tell me that he will arrive at #Alabama's camp on Sunday ready to compete.

I still want him in this class. I think he'll end up being better than any RB we signed in the 2013 class.

I think their is a legit chance that Harris ends up in the class.

A pretty reputable guy on another Bama board claims that Harris even tweeted yesterday (the tweet was almost immediately deleted) that he would love to have David Cornwell on his team...

Now as far as I know the only team that's really a factor for both players is Alabama. Again TIFWIW, since the tweet was supposedly deleted.

And I realize this is simply alot of wishful thinking on my part, LOL, but hey Auburn is flipping Deshaun Watson, right, so anything can happen... LMAO!!!!!!!!!!

Do we have room for 2 QBs this class? I kind of doubt it.

Forget the class. Even with Ely leaving, our depth chart doesn't have room for two QBs being added.

Many Auburn fans weren't humble long, after a 3-9 season. A little recruiting success and they're right back at it. Maybe Sarbinsky was actually right for once. Recruiting is so mainstream that actual on-the-field success can be overlooked.

Ya, thats what I meant. I think Del Rio would get a scholarship before we took 2 QBs this cycle.

UT has sucked for 6 years and all it took was a little recruiting success. Hell look at the OM fans and how they were after the last class.

So, lets say there is just 1 QB spot available in this class. Do you guys think that Harris and Cornwell are 1 and 1A in terms of their status coming into the camp? There is way more going on with Harris lately to simply view him as camp fodder for Cornwell.

Personally, I would be ecstatic with either guy, but if taking both is not a consideration, then Cornwell can not be the lock most made him out to be, from the staff's viewpoint at least...

I still think Cornwell is #1 on the board, but Harris has gotten Nuss' attention regarding what he could potentially do down the road.

There are more QBs coming than just those two. It should resemble an open tryout for all of them. Cornwell and Harris are just the two most naturally talented and that is why they are being the only ones mentioned lately.

Who knows? Somebody completely off the radar could wow the coaches and jump both of them.

Honestly bro... that's what scares me a bit. I think the general report is that's how McLeod ended up with his offer.

I realize other guys will be there to "compete" but I think the staff will go into the weekend with a feel for the guys that will end up with the coveted committable offer.

Not recruiting related, but an ATM fan just posted this gif on the rant:

I posted this in the baseball thread, but it isn't likely to get attention until we play Troy on Friday.

According to Perfect Game we have had a surge in recruiting. I don't have a subscription, so I could only see the teaser titles.

We landed a 2015 C/1B and a 2013 P from Mississippi. Maybe I can find out more or someone can fill me in.

Kinda like how their greatest football season ever, didnt happen.

That harris kid looks like star jackson to me.

Cornwell is the type of QB we need. I want a guy who steps up in the pocket and throws strikes.

me either. cornwell looks way more polished, with all the physical tools you could ask for. the QB race is going to be wide open next year, although the chances of a true freshman starting are remote.
