Not a fan of his but a well-written article about the topic

Don't blame the CFP committee for trying to be perfect with an imperfect system

"When you see the images of how Florida State’s players reacted when they learned they got left out, when you read the searing words of coach Mike Norvell asking why the games matter at all or when you think about what quarterback Jordan Travis must have felt when he wrote on social media that he wished he broken his leg earlier in the season, it’s devastating. "

Who. Freaking. Cares.

These bleeding heart types need to be kept out of positions of power in all facets of life. You can't make decisions like this.

It is devastating and I actually do feel bad for FSU & Norvell. Norvell has worked his arse off to bring FSU back.

But all that doesn’t mean they should be in the playoff. Personally, I think it was poor choice for FSU to allow cameras in their watch party considering it was a good chance they could get left out.

This “deserved it” or “earned it” talk is silly anyway. It’s not like Alabama had multiple losses. They played a much tougher schedule, beat the #1 team, and won what everyone considers to be the toughest conference. Like others have said, people aren’t mad that FSU got left out. They’re mad that Alabama got in.

Would FSU go 13-0 against Alabama's schedule without Jordan Travis? 12-1? 10-3? 8-5?

Do you know what wouldn’t surprise me? I wouldn’t be surprised if several key players of Georgia decide to sit their bowl game out making them a weaker opponent, and FSU, having a chip on their shoulder, comes out full force and beats Georgia…that would give them a reason to point their finger and say, “see, I told you so!” Does anyone else feel this is a possibility?

Maybe. FSU will definitely have a chip on their shoulder and UGA may have some guys sit out but FSU winning the game doesn't prove anything, though them losing does.

I heard this today, 6 of the 13 on the Committee were from the ACC, and another person had ACC ties, so why did they not pick FSU? Now Finebaum's "conspiracy theory" makes a little more sense.

He said when FSU came out four months ago and basically stated, we are "too good" (don't belong here) for the ACC, that might have cost them via them being nasty and unbecoming, I guess would be the word. How do they get so many people from one conference on a Committee? Sounds kinda dumb tbh.

I don’t think they go undefeated with Jordan Travis against our schedule. That’s why this whole “wins and losses have to matter” and “FSU was undefeated” is a lazy take. Alabama & FSU didn’t play equal schedules. FSU had a much easier path. If Alabama had played Florida, Wake, or Syracuse, instead of Texas, this isn’t even a conversation.

I don't want to hear any more talking heads bitch about Florida State, then immediately talk how Michigan's path is tougher with Bama instead of the Noles.

Of the current Top 15 teams, only Oklahoma had a worse Strength of Schedule than FSU. If Ole Miss played FSU's schedule they would have been favored in every game, except the LSU game.

Nobody wants to see Michigan have a free ticket to the natty in a 31-10 snooze fest Rose Bowl against Tate Rodemaker. That's as bad for college football as all the reshuffling of the conferences. The outrage over this is so silly.

Those who are mad about FSU not getting in is proof they didn't watch FSU games, other than the LSU game.

It's Bama fatigue.

And I remember LSU fans crying about how it was such an unfair advantage for FSU because the Noles had a Week 0 game.

It will depend on how Florida State's quarterback situation develops. If they look like they did against Louisville, Georgia's backups could blow them out.
