If you think that starting an illegal spying investigation against a presidential candidate and his administration that was active during the ceremony is considered a smooth transition of power then you are a special kind of fricking stupid. Everyone from the Obama admin has fought this presidential admin before they ever took office and it continues today.

Oh, I see. You want to make up your own definition on what a peaceful transition of power is despite over 200 year of precedent and history of it.

Welp, I just got a 2 week vacation. Hope I'm in the 99.5% for my age bracket.

Not just about survival. This virus has caused long-term medical issues for some survivors.

Yeah not being able to smell anything for a few months would be awful.

Some things more serious like neurological damage, etc..

You don't die? Fantastic. Would suck to live with organ issues or whatever weird shite this virus happens to bring along

My mother is 86 and smoked for 60 years and got it. Had a cold for a few days. My dad 85 quarantined with her the entire time and tested negative twice. It's a frickin load of horse. Just look at the BIG10 and PAC12. What new studies have come out that has pushed them to play? All these institutions have internal polls and Trump is in the lead. Government bailouts are not on the way so these self imposed death penalties are not an option. Wake up boys

Maybe. Depends on whether or not you live in Louisiana.

A union representing Little Rock, Ark., teachers has notified the school district that members will not return to in-person teaching Monday, citing the coronavirus pandemic.

In its statement, the union said it had identified numerous unsafe conditions in Little Rock schools, including a quarter of schools saying people who entered the building are not consistently being given full questionnaires. The LREA also said 37 percent of facilities are reportedly not being properly cleaned and disinfected, and that numerous students and employees either do not wear masks or pull them down to speak to people.

The statement also claims that ventilation systems have not been upgraded even though poor indoor ventilation has been identified as a major driver of infections, and that immunocompromised staff members are being required to teach in person.

So I have been meaning to comment on this for a few days but have been super busy when not watching football.

I have made an effort to avoid engaging in political arguments on the internet, especially over the past year or so, because it isn't incredibly productive and massively time consuming. However, I can't avoid this.

I am frankly appalled at the people on this board.

quote:

Isn't inciting nation-wide rioting and anarchy a serious treasonous crime? Yes, it certainly is.

So, covertly arrest them and dump them at the north pole from an airplane at very high altitude. They'll crystalize and then shatter. Or ball & chain them and dump them into the open ocean or a volcano full of fiery molten lava. Game over.

I'm serious. And that's all I have to say about it.

Six people here think that the appropriate action to take against millions of people they disagree with is to kidnap them and brutally murder them.

It's one thing to see random crazies on twitter saying stupid shite. There are so many people in the world and small subset of 50,000 can post insane things all the time (not to mention bots) and make it seem like that is how the environment really is.

It is very different to see it come from a community that you have been a part of for half a decade. People that you have talked to, that share interests and are mostly people you have come to respect.

I have participated in a few marches during my time. My politics, while nuanced, would certainly be considered quite left. Do you think that I deserve to be kidnapped, presumably tortured and then dropped from a plane, freeze on the way down and shatter into a million pieces? How many of your neighbors have participated in marches? 40% of those who voted in Alabama cast their ballots for Hillary in 2016. There is a good bit of overlap there. These old people who might have broke some windows marching for civil rights in Alabama? They deserve to be burnt alive in a volcano?

And for all the religious posts on this board, is that what Jesus would want? He'd see a bunch of poor people, many of which have a very long history of being viciously oppressed, block roads, smash windows, flip cop cars as a cry out to bring attention to perceived injustice, even if he did not agree with them, and think "Yeah, we should torture them to death"?

quote:

Marxist scum have already pledged to riot if the President tries to replace her before the election.

I believe in Conflict Theory. I believe that human history is defined by the rich and powerful brutally maintaining that power against poor people. That makes me a Marxist. With the way so many people here talk about the "global and liberal elites", the QANON pedo ritual theories, ect, it certainly seems that a lot of you believe in a similar thing. Am I scum? Tidesaint, are you one of the people who thinks I should be murdered?

I have always appreciated your contributions to the board. I think of you as a reasonable moderator who keeps the board well maintained. I know that you have a very different worldview than me and your politics reflect that. I have never felt that that wasn't okay. It's not like, "He does a good job but he's a Trump supporter", because it is okay to think different things. There are great people all over the political spectrum, and while I may have moral objections to things you support, that doesn't mean that I think that you have those beliefs because you are piece of shite human who deserves to be dropped into the ocean with a chain attached to your leg.

The reality is that someone can advocate for the murder of millions of people here on this board, and that not only not get banned, but have the support of the rest of the people here, including the moderator. That's absolutely insane.

And for everyone who wants to "Make America Great Again", how is the slaughter of millions of Americans going to make us better? It's only the MSM and competing nations that benefit from our division, and this hypothetical violence. Don't y'all see that you are literally playing into the desires of entities that you hate?

If cops kidnapping Americans from their homes and dumping their bodies in the Arctic is what you people think it takes to make America great, maybe people should be rioting in the streets.

Looting and rioting certainly isn’t making things better, either
