Please share more often. Tonight is the first post on this board about him getting released at all and transferring to Baylor.

Schools will almost always grant full releases if the issue is a medical clearance

He still has to be cleared and pass a physical to play at Baylor according to BOL

I don't understand why transfer if the issue is medical. But, then again some doctors do indeed disagree. I remember Jarvis Jones had a neck injury and he wasn't cleared by Southern Cal's doctors but UGA's doctors did clear him.

1) Is there an unwritten rule somewhere that we can't have 2 construction projects going at once? Do the crap to BDS and Coleman at the same time! BDS is not nearly as big a project as Coleman.
ETA they better be working on the new natatorium, too, dammit!

2) We wouldn't be worried about the extra $70 million to replace Coleman if Battle hadn't fricked up the Nike contract the way he did. What an idiot!

3) Butler to Baylor doesn't sit well with me unless he isn't cleared to play at Baylor either. If he is, WTF?

4) What the hell has Ya done for us since he was hired? Dead weight, get a recruiter in there!

Getting Lewis was a blessing. He softened the blow for losing Butler. If we had both on the roster this fall, someone was gonna be riding bench or redshirted. You will like Lewis's game. Butler wasnt gonna be cleared to play this year.

But then he decommited 10 days later, so it doesn’t count. I think the only player Coach Ya has landed so far is Tevin Mack, and he really didn’t have to recruit him. Mack saw him be hired at Bama and wanted to play for him bc of previous connections, so he committed like 2 days later. I know he’s recruiting hard, but it seems like he can’t finish the deal with any recruits

Happens quite a bit. Auburn has a CB Jamal Dean who was unable to be medically cleared by Ohio St's staff due to a significant knee injury history. Kid seems to be doing just fine at Auburn and played last year though

Some doctors are willing to take bigger risks than others.

Hopefully the Baylor doctors don't make a poor judgment decision that results in a kid dead on the court. You don't mess with heart problems

Someone told me that Baylor is really good about getting players cleared. Apparently Alabama didn’t want to risk it, and just let him go somewhere else to get cleared and play. We did the right thing

If our doctors wouldn't clear him over an irregular heartbeat with UAB sitting 60 miles away, I don't want any part of putting that kid on the court

I really have no clue at this point. Seems like Watford is the only recruit we’re still recruiting tho
