So does anyone remember if La Tech was home-and-home or not? I'd think not, but we played @Southern Miss a couple years ago, so who knows.

I hope we add a solid ACC team to the schedule like Florida State or Ga Tech.

Fleming is a guy who could come in and compete for the starting 4 spot, especially if he extends his range to the 3-pt line. In our offense it pays in spades to have bigs that are offensive threats and good passers. Fleming does both of those things extremely well for a big. It's going to be interesting to see who emerges for the PT among our 4 bigs outside of Hall. I feel like our PGs and Wings are set as far as players who are getting the most PT. Ingram, Jones, Petty, Mack, Butler, Norris, and Key are already set to receive the most substantial time of the wings in the 1-4 positions (at least in my mind) . With Smith, Reese, Fleming and Giddens, I think it's a toss up as to which two emerge with Hall for the PT.

It'll be interesting to see what he does next year. His footwork and back-to-the-basket game is unreal. It's the best I've seen of any of our recruits that we've targeted in the 12 or so years I've been closely following recruiting. His prospect ranking just goes to show you that athleticism is what is valued the most in big men, not skill. I'll be very shocked if he isn't a double digit post scorer at any point in his college career.

I will gladly accept Erwin Dudley 2.0

Hall needs to learn to play better defense with his body. He stands straight up, and tries to block everything. He needs to be a better defender so we don't have to use help and leave the 3 open all the time.

I don’t think La Tech was a home-and-home

Should try and schedule a NoVA program like Georgetown or Maryland or a Big East program up near NYC

Any Chance Giddens Transfers?? I hope not but it seems he got passed up by Galin and Flemming looks impressive so he may pass Daniel too.

I guess there’s always a chance, but I doubt he’ll transfer

he has transferred and sat out once. I doubt he does this unless he goes overseas to play pro. or does a smaller school route.

Heard that Fleming is very skilled, alot of college coaches said he was best low post scorer in all of high school basketball last year. Definitely underrated by the services and credit to the staff for finding him. Some people have poo pooed this upcoming class but I believe we got 3 guys with a high ceiling plus Mack.

Only included Ga Tech because I'd like to play in Atlanta consistently. I'm surprised there is no early season tournament there.

Mack and Butler are the two who will definitely play. Wood and particularly Fleming could be anywhere from never playing to really good.

Just from watching highlights, he reminds me a little of Grant Williams.

Fleming looks like he has a decent shot and is very offensively skilled from his highlight tape.

Yeah I highly doubt Fleming gets here and craps the bed

I don't know if I'm alone, but I'm much more skeptical on Wood than I am Fleming. I mean his dunk highlights are cool to look at, but I haven't seen as much skill from him. I've heard he's a good defender, but that only gets you so far unless you're Herb Jones. I guess more of my concern is that we only offered him when it looked like Petty was gone and we struck out with Woodard and the rest of our targets. That doesn't scream player you want to have. His offer list was also not impressive.

Everything I've seen and heard on him screams Brandon Austin 2.0. I'm not giving up on him because I've never seen him play a full game, but I don't really have high expectations for him.

It's easier to tell if the skill guys are good watching their highlights (like Fleming), it's harder diagnosing the guy who's dunking in all of his highlights.

You said what I wanted to say. To a T. I watched woods highlights yesterday and wasn't that impressed. Mack looked decent from the corner on threes. With that said, I could chop up keys shots and put in a highlight and make him look decent.

You’re right. Wood is a developmental 2. I don’t think we should expect much from him year 1. From what I hear he’s a natural leader and wants to be at Bama. Terrence Meade might be a better comparison.

We went after Wood when it became apparent that Stewart was going to sign with Miss. State. Petty didn’t have anything to do with it. Wood was going to take Davis’ spot. We started backing off Woodard after Mack committed/signed. Woodard is more of a 3/4 and we needed a 2.

I'm skeptical of both. It's highly possible Fleming could be incapable of competing atheletically at this level. He's never had impressive stats, and I don't just mean lack of points.

I feel like Fleming is either going to turn into an all conference player, or be awful. Brown's ceiling is probably a good 3 and D guy, but he doesn't have the potential to be as bad as Fleming either. It's possible he just never gets many minutes though.
