What a memorable final game at Auburn for Bruce Pearl. Our ace source tells us Pearl won’t be the Tigers coach next season. Expected to be let go during the off-season @CoachingChanges

This guy has sources. I know a little about him but can’t say much. He has great connections tho

I mean I hope he's gone but I don't believe that would happen.

Auburn insiders have been saying the exact opposite the last few weeks. I don't see it unless something new comes out

I’ve been kinda hard on Key the whole year. He had a sophomore slump but we did him no favors by trying to turn him into a 4.

Firing him would be a cuck move unless they know something significant we don't.

I know a couple of AU's biggest basketball donors, they are all in Bruce's corner right now and would be outspoken against firing him right now

If something comes out that is damning, I could see it. Based on public info right now, I'd be shocked if there wasn't a donor mutiny

I will say this tho, the Mark Jennings guy is sometimes a troll. He does correctly call ALOT of things. I’ve posted stuff on here before and he’s usualky right. But he does troll Auburn a lot so it’s hard to know for sure with him.

RollHoopsRoll is legit tho

I'll say this, I'm sure a lot of insiders as recently as a month or two ago would probably say that AU would fire Pearl after the season.

Auburn's best basketball beat writer just posted that he expects AU to keep Pearl the other day though. Normally AU beat writers don't know sh** but Mark knows his AU bball inside info

To add to teh above, Auburn admin does not let much inside information get out and our boosters don't know anything yet.

I don't think any non AU source is going to have any quality informatino on our coaching search. AU is good at locking down information

We’ll see. I know for a fact he has connections within Alabama bc he’s basically told us the day before every major commitment within the last year if Alabama was gonna get him or not, and hasn’t been wrong once. Idk how well he knows the Auburn folks tho

Games we know we have next year:

vs Arizona
@Rhode Island
@UCF
3 game tournament with Witchita State, Ball State, Appalachian State, Davidson, Northeastern, Purdue, and Virginia Tech as possible opponents

Anyone else? Do we have @La Tech as well?

The 1 Big12 game....I guess it's an away game next year because it was home this year.

So this is the tricky part, it is both having those connections + those connections being right.

I would be shocked if more a handful of athletics employees know the truth. I know that the Assoc AD level at a minimum have been in the dark and know nothing other than rumor. I don't think anyone has real sources into the Auburn Presidents office

I've been told by people in the AD though that the feeling all year was that Auburn President's office was determined to clean house in the AD regarding all scandals.

It wouldn't shock me if this insider's connections come from people who are repeating old department feeling and not actual concrete information

I think Fleming is a very intriguing prospect. He's the opposite of the modern average big man.

It'll be interesting to see what he does next year. His footwork and back-to-the-basket game is unreal. It's the best I've seen of any of our recruits that we've targeted in the 12 or so years I've been closely following recruiting. His prospect ranking just goes to show you that athleticism is what is valued the most in big men, not skill. I'll be very shocked if he isn't a double digit post scorer at any point in his college career.

Yep. He’s considered the best scorer out of all the big men in the 2018 class from what I’ve read

I'll be honest, after getting torched for the past 20 years by guys that can shoot and are fundamentally sound, I'd be happy to see a couple of slightly less athletic, but skilled players on our team.
