They're top 10ish in offensive and defensive efficiency and literally dead last in the entire country in tempo. Wild.

I don't want any part of FSU, especially in Tallahassee. They're very underrated.

Was rewatching the Georgia game and noticed that we scored 16 points in the last 2 minutes 20 seconds of the game. That's pretty nuts.

Do we have a realistic shot at a 1 seed, or are we really just hoping to hold serve and get a solid 2 seed?

If we win out in the regular season we have a shot at a one seed and will at worst be a two seed. I think we can lose to Arkansas and win the rest and probably end up as a 2 seed still.

SEC Basketball: Alabama on top, Kentucky falling in latest power rankings

And for those who like to open their Christmas presents on Christmas Eve:

1. Alabama Crimson Tide (17-5, 12-1)

Early congrats to the Crimson Tide, who have essentially won the SEC regular-season championship. They’re three games ahead of Arkansas, with matchups against bottom teams, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, and Auburn, along with a road battle versus Arkansas. Still without a bad loss on the season, Alabama is looking for a potential 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament if they win out and the Big Ten continues to beat each other up.

Although they don’t have a clear “star” player, Alabama has several key players that can play in a star position in a given game. Leading scorer Jaden Shackelford (13.9 ppg) has been their most consistent offensive player, while Herb Jones and John Petty have been the senior and winning leaders this season. Point guard Jahvon Quinerly has been solid when healthy and freshman guard Joshua Primo has star potential and will be a big contributor down the road.

All of this has been going on without starting center Jordan Bruner, who anchors Alabama’s defense down low. The team’s success allows them to bring him back slowly and be 100% for hopefully the SEC and Tournament. With an even better defense, the Crimson Tide could not only be the best in the conference but potentially finding themselves in the national title game.

Why is Auburn so bad now? I thought everyone was on Cooper's nuts. What happened?

Yes, Arkansas at their home and I think Auburn will be a team to really give us a good test but now I could see the Vandy game being a problem with the quick turnaround as well! We just got keep winning and get the job done!

Teams have been collapsing on Cooper's drives sending more bodies towards him which means more turnovers for him and he's getting alot of his shots blocked! They also been allowing him to shoot three's which he's terrible at! If I must say the blueprint is out on Auburn!

Their defense is really bad and teams have figured out that Cooper can't even hit wide open outside shots so they just sag and help around the rim against him.

I haven’t watched them so it’s just a guess at some possible reasons. Thinking that perhaps Cooper caught teams off guard initially, since he hadn’t been playing and teams had nothing to study. After a few games, perhaps they caught on to some tendencies and he reverted toward the mean. Coaches could have also gotten into the refs ears about his push offs. They could realize their season is coming to a close and could be mailing it in. Whatever the reason, I suspect they’ll come out on fire in Tuscaloosa for that last game.

Will be curious to see how the ODK trophy ‘cermony’ is handled.

The wind-up on his shot is awful.. and he looks like he is leaning to his left as he shoots. Someone will help him fix it and he will be lethal. That may not be until he gets to the NBA though.

I can't get over the NET Ranking difference between Missouri and Tennessee.

They split H2H, their records and Quad resumes are virtually identical, Missouri has the 2 best wins, and yet Tennessee is 25 spots ahead in the Net Rankings.

I can see efficiency numbers accounting for maybe 10 spots, but 25 spots is an ocean.
