Nice win baws! Good to see everyone get on the stat sheet. Is it just me or is KAH playing his way into the portal? I had to work today so didnt get to watch at all but judging from the box score , he’s either hurt or the light is just not coming on for him. Which is it? Not dissing the kid but he just doesn’t seem to be developing much yet.

Watching it live my impression was Hodgson holding back the players and Keon Ellis holding back Pettway

I think Oats plan for KAH is more long term than the short anyways

I'd say he's a typical freshman that needs more time so he isn't a liability on defense and the coaches trust him more. It's year one.

Yea I'm not concerned about KAH at all.

We actually develop players now. Kids like KAH will learn the system, refine their skills and contribute eventually.

They just did a segment on SEC Network about how we will run a fast break off of a made basket. Ellis was involved in both plays they used as examples. He would have had an assist on both if basketball would just go ahead and adopt hockey's (correct) attitude towards assists. But the point is that he has turned into a really solid role player and I think he's going to have a big season next year.

Offense and Defense : We are the best team in the Top 10 at one thing and the worst at the other.

It's funny that the majority of people (probably a lot of Alabama fans) would assume that we were the best at offense and worst at defense, when in fact the opposite is true.

Glad I’m not the only one who feels this way about assists. It’s crazy to me that because a guy dribbles once that it’s not longer an assist.

I love reading y’all’s basketball thread and seeing y’all nitpick Sharife Cooper like crazy and try to talk yourselves into him not being NBA ready and why he needs to come back

Today was one of the most enjoyable Alabama basketball games I have seen. Simply wonderful. Hope to see many more this year. We are really good.
It's all for one and one for all ball. Great to watch.

Here is our 3pt% on the season:

Herb: 53%!!!
JQ: 44%
Primo: 42%
Keon Ellis: 40%
Petty: 40%
Miles: 38%
Shack: 34%
Bruner 32%
Reese 26%
Rojas 19%

We have 4 Guys returning that shoot at least 38% from 3...3 that shoot at least 40%

And that’s not including Shack who we know can shoot and I would bet will be much better % wise next season.

We worry about bigs next year but after watching Alex Tchikou video I am not so concerned. Anyone heard much on his rehab?

He can shoot the basketball VERY well and looked pretty advanced offensively to me. I wish he'd not been injured I believe we could have used him right about now.

Had a nice touch from three moved well and you can't teach 6 ft 11. Put some good weight on him teach him defense and he's a 5.
