The referees could get their heads out of their butts and call this game more evenly. I don't think we shot a free throw in the first half. Stanford was at 7 fouls and 3 trips to the line by the 9 minute mark.

Some of those calls were with a guy who was out of control and at times didn't even have the ball.

So this is what it feels like to be a Texas Football fan. We’re back every preseason and then by Game 5 season is over.

I thought we would improve over 16-15 but I'm not buying that we'll be a good team until I see it. The core group of players, outside of Herb, are low IQ basketball players and that doesn't change in an offseason

So they’re bigger, better defensively, and can all shoot better than us. Other than that we’re good.

And they have by far the most talented player on the court with that freshman. Only lottery type player out there.

I thought with a full offseason Oats would have the guys dialed in but they look like they met in the parking lot before the game.

One glance at the stats: Stanford shooting 60 percent from beyond the arc will change but getting outrebounded 24-14 by a team shooting 60 percent from 3-range is low-level effort. We will see if that changes after the half.

Yeah, Stanford's making us extremely uncomfortable by stacking the perimeter with one rim protector back and we're not getting wings beating their guy off the dribble but just passing to the perimeter player Stanford is dictating.

Not exactly worried about poor shooting since we're only getting low percentage, forced shots. Really need players on the wing to drive under control and make the defense move.

The Williams kid for Stanford is one hell of a player too.

Oddly it was Reese's 3 minutes where he scored 5, blocked a shot that led to a basket assisted another 3 on drive and kick that's kept this from getting out of hand.

Yes other than the fact that we don't spend tens of millions of dollars on the ineptitude every year.

that's college basketball now. One team is typically going to get the close calls for the majority of a game. If they're calling them tight then we will rack up fouls against everyone we play

Hahaha I mean damn it's like an avalanche.

And I'm far from a posiBammer. Lawd. We're down 12 at the half to a really solid P5 team.

They’re going to be a handful this year. Returning 4/5 starters and replacing the 5th with a lottery pick true freshman.

I 100% agree with you, but this thread does this every year.

I mean the problems are what they always are. It's like LSU fans with Cam Cameron and Steve Ensminger running the offense. It was always going to change and then the season kicked off and it didn't
