We're only down by 12 points.
We can cut that in half in the first 30 seconds of the 2nd half.
I will always believe that teams will regress to the mean.
Oats will make some adjustments and this is a game that we can still easily win.

I really hate Alabama basketball does this to me every year.
This is why I just can’t devote myself to watching Alabama basketball much. I try, I really do, but they always crush me. They’ve always crushed me.

Got to give em time to jell. Stanford's players, I'm sure, have more experience and playing time together than Bama.

If this follows the Bama basketball script
No doubt, they've got to give us enough to keep hoping.

Gotta make some offensive adjustments. We're not just missing shots, we're not getting good shots. They've definitely stymied our drive and kick.
First 5 minutes will be big.

Petty needs to get his shot back
Looks like he doesn’t want the ball right now. He was desperate to not have to take the shot on that last possession.

You know it’s bad when Herb has the most points and the best shooting percentage.

Stanford just looks a lot bigger on tv. And their length in the paint has affected or messed our shots up a bunch of times. We need some bigs out there

Herb is the only player I’d have starting on my all sec team. The rest wouldn’t even be mentioned.

If this follows the Bama basketball script, we’ll pull close the first five minutes of the second half, go completely cold, and then finish the game with a decent but ultimately futile run.
Nah. That's not how it goes. They will go on a run to make it like a 21 point game, it'll go back and forth like that for a while, and then with ~12 minutes left we will start on a big 17-4 run to pull within 6 with 4 minutes left and then completely shite the bed from there.

They are getting their arse handed to them.

Couple glaring red flags here.
Quinerly is the only good ball handler in the squad. Our wings just aren't good dribblers, at least the main ones (Petty/Herb/Shack) and Quinerly can't get to the rim and finish like Kira and Collin. Since they can't dribble well, they press when the perimeter is defended and end up panicking and turning the ball over or taking a terrible shot. It's just playing out of control. We've all been there on the playground.
There's little to no off ball movement, and when you don't have guys that can penetrate and dish you absolutely have to have off ball movement. We have the play side wing rotating with the ball handler and the other 3 guys posted up behind the arc. This creates a contested shot when we can't drive, and a very difficult pass when we're eventually forced to drive baseline with an average ball handler. Unfortunately it looks like we still don't have the dudes yet to run this system, and it's becoming more and more apparent that it doesn't work at all without a dynamic point guard on the floor. He's a year away though. When the shots aren't falling we're going to get run out of the gym on several occasions this year, because that's the only way we can play.
We can get in a big hole in a hurry when our 30% type shooters (Reese, Bruner) are the ones getting open looks and missing them. We need to get Shack and Petty those good looks or this one will get ugly

Getting Bediako would go a long way.

That's what gives me optimism. If there is one thing the man knows how to coach it's his offensive system.

So this is what it feels like to be a Texas Football fan. We’re back every preseason and then by Game 5 season is over.

Probably not. Frenchy might have contributed some useful minutes though.
