Only guy I’m willing to part with is Rojas. If it has to be anyone else, I’d rather pass on the incoming person. Maybe that’s dumb, but sorry lol I wanna see Gary and Miles develop.

Oats ain’t letting Rojas go. I’m a fan of Rojas he can be a little awful offensively at times but plays hard and Nate compliments him in almost every postgame press conference.
He is also playing hurt right now

Which three should be behind Gary?

I agree with you. Both Miles and Gary seem like guys who would be damn good supporting players their junior and senior years.
I think Gary may still be a on a minute restriction because of his knee. I don’t think they’ll let him cut loose for an extended period time or he would’ve played even more minutes yesterday. That’s all speculation though.

Yep - and those are dudes you need in your program.

Yep and Miles looks like he could be crazy good from 3 (and seems to even handle the ball somewhat well). And Gary feels like a do-it-all, always winning the hard hat, kind of guy. I’d be really sad to see either of them go. I’d go so far as to say it would be a mistake to let them go at this time. But I’m also not the coach.

What do you guys think of Ellis? He has been out most unproductive regular rotation player aside from Rojas so far.
Ellis did have the big game vs Florida where be got 8 rebs and 16 points, but he hasn't gotten over 7 points in any other game. His defense has been good.
Does he have a breakout at some point that adds some consistency?
Would you guys rather keep him next year than get Nimari Burnett?

He might not, but if he lets anyone go, it 100% should be him.

Oats isnt scared to let a player go just because he recruited him, see Raymond Hawkins.
I think Rojas will get better as the season goes.

That's my preference too. Rojas has the lowest ceiling, but i'll trust Oats with roster management. He's been excellent in that department so far.

Has potential to be one of the better 3&D players in the conference next season after Petty and Herb move on and he gets more consistent minutes. He's shooting like 38% from outside and plays really good defense. He only plays like 10-15 minutes most nights though.

Apples and oranges imo.
Last year Hawkins played less than Tyler Barnes.
Rojas is a regular rotation guy.

I won’t disagree. He is the worst player on a Good team full of Good players....you act like he is as worthless as Giddens.
Rojas isn’t awful he just isn’t as good as the other guys on the team.

Yeah I think he has a lot of potential, just a little hesitant now since he is like the 6th scoring option at guard. I love his defense and shooting ability.

I think Ellis has just kind of taken a back seat as the new guy and isn't trying to do a lot offensively. But, like others are saying, he's very good on defense. And I think he can be more of a scorer if he needs to be.

He’s a guy that I hope takes advantage of this extra year and we keep him for 3 years. I think he has that much potential. A pretty cool feeling to like this many guys on the roster. It’s normally few and far between guys I want to stick around

I think the toughness that Rojas brings has been contagious to the rest of the team.
Posted on 1/17/21 at 4:17 pm to CrimsonFever
Yes. Which is exactly why Oats compliments him every postgame

There's been years where I wanted to keep 3 or 4 guys and purge the rest.
