No fricking way we beat Tennessee by 8, no fricking way! Wait, did we really just beat UT, the class of the league at Thompson Bolling Arena where we NEVER win??
It's worse than that Phil. They led by double digits most of the second half and I don't think Tennessee got any closer than 6 or 7.
We not only won, there was no narrowly avoided collapse at the end.

Collin just buried a 3 to give the Cavs a 3 pt lead against the Hawks.
That isn't cool Collin
Good. He needs to show out against Young again.
*Edit - Sexton with 27 points

id anyone think it was a little strange that Kendall Wall got in a couple different times but we didn’t see Gary, Miles, or Ambrose?
Probably Oats showing the team if you go hard in practice he will find minutes for you

That game sucked hard. I’m not sure we could have played worse which is a testament to how good we are this year if we can play that poorly and still have a chance to win. Between the Hawks being awesome and Sexton looking like an All-Star in his 3rd year this NBA season has been a dream thus far.

Has Sexton won every game against Young?

They have GOT to do better at the line no question. Shackleford in particular should be a better FT shooter. This should have been a double digit win except for missed free throws and that must improve or it will cost them a close game.
I've never understood why the home team gets the calls. Just call the game. They let Mons do whatever around the basket tonight and the blocking call on Rojas was horrid.

Rewatching it back we should have won by more.
Also that 3 by Herb was a 2 and they never fixed it. His foot was clearly on the line

Last night was a big early season resume win.
40 minutes of great effort/hustle.
1st road win vs a top 10 opponent since 2004.

Was that the totally random out of the blue win in Starkville?

It's hard to overstate how big a deal that win is for our resume, assuming Tennessee keeps winning.
You could argue that's one of the 2-3 best wins in college basketball to this point outside of Gonzaga.

Yeah I think so. They were ranked #3 or something. frick Stansfield. I'm still unreasonably pissed off about losing to that piece of shite. It'll take a Sweet 16 run for me to forgive Oats for it.

Assuming they stay healthy, I doubt Tennessee loses more than 3-4 regular season games and will probably end up as like a 3 seed.

Yeah I think they'll probably win the conference pretty easily. Playing them is just a total grind and most teams are neither willing nor able to do that for 40 minutes.

It sure felt like that's all he won.
In all seriousness, it's amazing how bad his teams were on the road.
Avery's teams won 13 road SEC games in 4 seasons. Grant's teams won 16 road SEC games in 6 seasons.
Gotfried's won 19 in 11 and had 4 seasons where they didn't win a single one.
Here are his road wins including OOC games.

How can you be that fricking bad on the road and pretty good at home? He was a player! He should know the routine better than anyone. I could never figure that one out and neither did he. It was his downfall.

it would have been closer if UT had made their FT's in the first half. They were worse then us
