MULTIPLE STYLES AND STILL WIN.
Defense, which crazy, considering how different this team looks vs Grant era.

UCONN opened -2.5 vs Maryland, should be a good game. We're gonna donkey punch the winner.

What's Bilas record when it comes to these things. For a Dukie he seems to be fair.

Bilas matter of factly without any sort of hesitation said he expects Maryland to beat UConn. I'm curious what the matchup advantages are for Maryland. I haven't watched Maryland more than 2-3 minues all season and all I know about UConn are their guards and the last 3 minutes of their blowout with Georgetown before we played UGA on CBS

Watched the replay of the last few seconds. It isn't clear on my screen but did Herb get a hand on Watford's last shot? Looked like it to me but I couldn't be sure.

Yeah same, I have seen UCONN play more than I have Maryland, Bilas knows more about them than I do, but from what I have seen I would pick UCONN to cover in that one.
Wiggins and Ayala are two good guards capable of putting up 20 any given night for Maryland. They don't have a lot of depth, similar to LSU their main players average a lot of minutes.
Galin Smith is their backup at the 5.

Kira playing on ESPN rn. Has 7/2/1 in 9 minutes versus the Clippers

Thinking further about it I think we match up well with UConn. It’s gonna take a team with a dominant big/ post player(Like Greg Brown or Hunter Dickinson) to beat us.
I’m 95% confident we will be in the Sweet 16. Hopefully it won’t be against Texas

One thing I noticed just skimming their rosters is both Maryland and UConn have pretty big guards. Lots of 6’5-6’6 guys.
Maryland still isn’t an especially big team because they start their four 6’6 guards and a 6’7 big man. They don’t have a ton of depth - really just two more big men (including Galin, obviously).

Isaiah Whaley, while only 6'9, is a really good shot blocker.
He is 7th in the country in blocked shots per game at 2.7, he got 7 blocks when I watched them play Butler. He won co-defensive player of the year in their conference.
Might be pretty hard to drive on them, hopefully we can get him in foul trouble.

We do too though. Petty, Ellis, and Herb are all at least 6’5. Would be nice to get Primo back because he has size too

I was thinking of Offensively dominant bigs. Lord knows It doesn’t matter who we play our shots are gonna get blocked
Greg Brown and Jericho Sims scare me.

Almost everyone is taking Texas to end our season.
Geeze, Texas must be really coming on. Noone seems to think we can beat them. And the consensus is that Michigan is a paper tiger due to injury.
So the consensus seems to be Texas in the final four.
