Lsu is not a good defensive team. Our shooting is just consistently bad with a few hot games every once in a while. But lsu is really good on offense so even with our defense we have to get some better offensive production
Yeah I don’t understand shooting about 20% on uncontested 3s.

I feel like half of my posts on this board now are “Gary is so good, why isn’t Gary out there more” and it’s getting boring even to me.

We need Petty to sort his shot out. For the long run.

When we shoot our season average or better from 3 we will run most teams out of the gym. When we shoot 20-25% from 3 we're going to have to scrap and fight for a W against anyone with a pulse. That's just what this team is.

We getting these boys tired. Only reason Rojas gets minutes is for us to stay fresh IMO

I've been at the in-laws for Sunday dinner and missed everything, how are we playing so far?

Playing pretty well, not shooting very well

We make a few adjustments for Watford and then bank on Thomas not hitting 30+ footers and we should be able to hold them off.

I mean the only thing I can think of at this point is that because he still wasn't really 100% the first month or so of the season his conditioning isn't where it needs to be for him to play 25 minutes. Because he is just an objectively better basketball player than Rojas and it isn't even close.

I'm impressed with Ellis, he is our second leading scorer behind Quinerly has been really good on D and is probably gonna end up with a double double.

How many minutes have Thomas and Watford played so far?

They've accounted for 70% of LSU's points. We can tire them out, but we have to start hitting open shots

Doug Shows seems rather subdued since Arkansas isn’t on the court

Alabama's getting ready to turn up the tempo. Oats mentioned that LSU may be "getting a little tired", so watch start to run the floor hard. The only problem is it's hard to run up the speed when you're having to take the ball out of the basket.
This should be an interesting 2nd half.
Regardless, it's nice to know we're going to Indy whatever happens!

Only if we continue to miss open 3s. If we hit them we’ll win by 10-15. If we don’t it’s going to be a butt-clincher. LSU is tired.

Petty please come to the party. Missed 3s, missed layup, missed mid-range shot,TOs.

Wonder if playing hard defense is messing him up. Whatever we need him to be good again. Its so good to see him when he is hot offensively.

Gary”s offensive rebounding has been huge too.

The ideal thing would be to stick Herb on Watford and hope he stays out of foul trouble.

Barring that, I think Gary is probably the second best option, and if not him then Reese. Reese struggles with getting ISO’d on Watford when he has a head of steam, but does a decent job with him down low.

It’s a bad matchup for Rojas, even though he’s physically strong. So is Watford, and Rojas doesn’t really have the length or athleticism to challenge his shot.
