Go outside and shoot ten 25-foot shots then shoot ten 12-foot shots and tell me which one you make the most.

Just to start with, stop turning the freaking ball over. 12 in a half is unacceptable.
And I'm not a Jones hater, but if he really is the POTY, he needs to fricking play like it in the second half. 3 turnovers and 25% in the first half.

I actually don’t think our defense has been that bad just watching it. They’ve hit a couple lucky shots and then they’ve hit a lot of just tough shots. Especially Johnson. If they hit those in the 2nd half, you just tip your hat

Officiating seems completely slanted towards Pukes. Hope this doesn't continue otherwise it will be another Arkansas game.

Considering that they don’t practice mid range shots, I’ll take the odds of them hitting the shots that they actually work on

i think they just outworked us on the boards. Started immediately after we went up 2-0.
I think this game is screaming for Herb and Gary as the two “bigs”, especially if Bruner isn’t effective. In a game like this, where Tennessee’s only post threat is Keon Johnson, I don’t know what makes Rojas a better choice.

Shacks 25-footers have a hand in his face everytime, so that math makes no sense

Well that’s stupid.

Can I interest anyone in an Avery Johnson special?
How about we make this a tale of two halves?

They scored 40 points with two lucky 3s included, so I don't really disagree. We need to maximize possessions: rebound better and take care of the ball.

We only have two assists and both are from Petty.

Really, really bad half for us on both ends.
I didn't think the defense was that bad. It wasn't great, but it was good enough to affect them. They just made several well contested shots.
Offense was one of the worst I've seen from this team since SEC play started. And as bad as it was, we still got a lot of good looks and missed a lot of them.

Alright shoot the 25ft shots wide open and you get 2 points for every make. And then shoot the 12ft shots with a hand in your face and you get 1 point for every make.
Tell me which one you end up with more points doing

That's kinda what I'm feeling. The shooting will even out.

Is Hartford's gym basically the middle of their college recreational facility?

We are 22-6 and won the SEC. I’d say that it works.

So just go away from the entire system that got us the sec championship?
I would like to pop from 10-15 when open instead of driving into traffic in the paint. But definitly not give up a 3 just to take a 2. I dont think we make 50% more 15 footers than 3 pointers

Nah I honestly think Tennessee will shoot 65% this half.

One silver lining is that neither Herb nor Shack picked up a third foul and we only committed seven as a team. Foul trouble hopefully won't be a problem unless Herb/Shack pick up a quick one early or the refs start blowing their whistles a lot more in the 2H than they did in the 1H.

Score could be worse honestly. Guys like Herb, JQ, and Petty are relentless on defense and fighting for every ball.
Bruner hit one 3, but this hasn't been his best game either. I don't understand Gary not getting more PT considering his explosive play in transition. Rojas gives effort, but he is a walking foul/turnover.
