Jeremy Hays - Marshall County Sports HOF

He was a solid player in that early Gottfried era before we started signing really good players.

Hays was a pretty big deal as a recruit wasn’t he? Seems like maybe to the point that his career at Alabama was a little disappointing.

I could be getting all of this mixed up.

This dude not working out here was baffling. It was some strange sickness issue that kept him from playing.

I think the rumor was that it was some sort of lower respiratory infection that killed his lung capacity and made it where he'd get exhausted from jogging for 45 seconds.

I sure do wish they'd go back to the Gottfried-era uniforms...these last several iterations have been terrible in my opinion.

I don't remember what his rating was or anything, but he was a good get for Bama.

He actually was getting talk of being one of the top returning players in the league before he blew his knee (or whatever the injury was). Last time I saw him he was coaching a church league team in Boaz.

Then a year later he probably averaged close to 40 minutes. Just terrible timing there.

Especially the shorts, they always screw up the shorts imo.

John is doing a horrible job at Tennessee Tech. I think he has single digit wins over two years.

The best Alabama uniforms of the Nike era (other than the throwbacks) IMHO

Didn't he end up transferring to some totally random place out West like Wyoming or Boise where he actually had a pretty good career?

I distinctly remember him being a last minute signee who we convinced ourselves was undderated though, which was a pretty persistent theme of the Grant years.
