Pretty impressive how they've responded and not flinched at all given the way their season has gone so far.
Seems like they were just excited at halftime to get challenged a little bit since its been awhile

Gonzaga isn't all that good defensively but other than that they are a good team. I still think Baylor is the best team.

Will be interesting to see what Shot Quality says about that game

OMG I'm so Excited for Alabama to play in the SEC Tourney and this week is going by as slow as molasses.

I can’t wait. One of my work monitors is going to be solely dedicated to the SECT after the first tip this week. A few years back, I think it was the TAMU game that Sexton won on a last second layup, we had five people in my office yelling for the last 3 minutes of the game.

One thing I miss about growing up in ACC country is that on the days of the ACC tournament, it was just assumed everyone in offices and schools would watch it on the TV those weekday afternoons.

BYU didn't even matchup well with Gonzaga. They had a couple guys that could take them off the dribble though and that's what kept them going in the second half of the game.

I for one am stunned that Gene has been MIA during a season where Auburn is fricking garbage and Alabama won the conference.
I've always thought Gene was a good poster over here. I don't think he's just ducking Bama success. He was posting regularly and then suddenly his last post anywhere was mid-January. Just fell off a cliff. Seems like I remember reading somewhere that he'd caught Rona but that may just be my old age kicking in.

I don't dispute that the guy is pretty basketball knowledgeable and you could engage in an intelligent conversation about basketball with him. I certainly hope nothing happened to him. But Gene has a habit of vanishing if we are playing well and suddenly reappearing if we are playing poorly. He's also really enthusiastic about discussing why we are terrible and a lot less enthusiastic about discussing any positive aspects of Alabama basketball.

They're a lot like us. They give up points because they play so fast but they're extremely efficient. I mean they played what was probably their worst game of the year last night and still beat a really good BYU team by 10. I'd still be really surprised if they don't win the tournament.

Anybody know if Oats is having a Press conference today before the team leaves?

I didn’t get to see the game last night, but one thing that is interesting about Gonzaga is that as fast as they play, they only have 7 guys averaging over 10 minutes a game.
We have 9. I know there’s been some (not by everyone by any means) talk about us not having enough depth to play the style that Oats wants.
If anything I wouldn’t mind seeing us at least marginally tighten the rotations up in the postseason. Maybe play 9 guys max instead of 10. But I don’t know if that will happen, and there’s probably a decent argument to not fix what isn’t broken.

Yeah, Oats talked about not liking to play more than about 8 players due to continuity when he first came to Bama. He said they might play more early in the season before paring it back. I kind of wonder if having more talented depth at Bama has kind of made him forget his philosophy a little. I do think there are times we pull a guy out for what seems like no reason to me other than they just want to throw another guy out there.

Hmm makes me wonder what’s going on in Auburn. What reason does he have to transfer out?
