The guy on this team that doesn't get enough love is John Petty. There's an argument to be made that his case for SEC POTY was every bit as good as Herb's.

Herb is the best defender in the SEC but Petty is in the Top 10. And Petty is averaging 13 PPG, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. If he'd shot it from 3 PT range just a bit better the last month he'd have a really strong case.

If Petty had shot 3s the way he did last season he'd have won it. He has elevated every other part of his game to make up for the dip in 3pt% though.

I think JD will play off the ball a lot, so he'll be rotating with JQ, Shack, and whoever else. He'll be playing plenty of minutes whether he technically "starts" or not.

JD's specialty is driving to the rim, I think he plays mostly PG. JQ is a good enough shooter he can play off the ball. We will have two PGS on the floor at the same time in JD and JQ, which is what Oats wants.

Tchikou is going to average more than 10 minutes if he's fully recovered. I am admittedly sky high on him and Miles though. They both ooze NBA to me.

I forgot about Langston Wilson. He is a 4* JUCO....not a lot of JUCO players get 4*.

I’ve heard he is an explosive leaper and is pretty skilled too

He's been our best offensive player in conference play

- #1 Offensive Rating
- #1 Offensive BPM
- #1 E-FG%
- #1 True Shooting %
- #2 Close 2 Pt% (behind Bruner)
- #2 3PT %

And he's become a very, very good defender - both on ball and as a help defender. On top of that, he rebounds the hell out of the ball.

Yea he's the biggest wildcard to me - is he 100% healthy and how up to speed with the game has he gotten. Basically, is he still a raw freshman or was he able to do and learn enough to be ready to step right in?

His talent and skillset is out of this world.

JQ developing into an assassin from 3PT range has completely changed things for him and the roster setup.

The combination of him and Davison on the floor together is

The more I look at that roster for next year the more I realize how deep, talented and experienced we are going to be - even after losing 3 really big pieces.

Defensively we'll have to have guys step into leadership roles, but we have the personnel to do that.

The roster turnover has been incredible. And we don't even know what Bediako is going to do yet. Throw him into the mix and we may have the most talented 1-13 in the league next year.

It's pretty wild. His roster management has been A++++. And while he's recruited well, it isn't like we've signed 3 straight Top 3 classes or anything.

Their ability to find kids who are NBA talented but maybe a little raw or a year early or at a position where the blue bloods are filled or whatever it is is incredible - and then the ability to sell those kids on what we do.

If we could stretch JQ and Shack out to be about 3 inches taller, I'd go ahead and buy my Final Four tickets for next year. Other than a couple of guards being a little shorter than is ideal, that roster looks damn near perfect, talent-wise.
