That's kinda what I'm thinking as well. I want him now that both ten and Pitt have offered. I bet he doesn't come here cause of distance though.

Not surprising with the Pitt and West Virginia offers. I personally don't think we are missing out on much, but since I said that he'll probably be the number 1 pick in the draft when he leaves.

Really dont know why we keep trying to go so far away from home anyway unless we know its a sure thing. Seems like the white kid with the huge nose wouldve taught us that.

I would love to get this guy. The kid seems to know how to find the open man and can create for others, which is our #1 remaining need. He's also tall enough and looks to be a good enough shooter to play off-ball. Hopefully Grant brought his friend, Benjamin, with him.

I've got $300 towards the prepaid debit cards for this guy. Who else wants in?

Saw this in an article posted on twitter:

"“It’s wide open right now,” said Lonnie Thompson of his son’s recruitment on Wednesday. “I don’t see him going out of the South. I see him going no more than about eight hours from home.”

Lonnie Thompson said he expects his son to sign with a school either in the SEC or ACC. He said Alabama, Virginia and N.C. State were all schools he had been in discussion with on the phone on Wednesday among others. And Tennessee is also in conversation.

Thompson said his son’s recruitment was re-opened because of his desire to play early in his college career. The family wasn’t sure if that would happen at Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt has Kedren Johnson at point guard and Tulsa transfer Eric McClellan, who also plays point guard, eligible next season."

Hey Bryant, I haven't followed recruiting in several years and as much as I try to follow this thread, it's pretty difficult. Can you give me the cliff notes to this coming class and what we may have in store for the future...

We have a 6'10 center coming in. He's Erwin Dudley's cousin. He isn't an offensive threat at this point in time but he's a defensive force and got ridiculously long arms. He should help with depth and be able to contribute his freshman year. We also have Shannon Hale, a 6'7 3-4. He's pretty skilled from everything I've watched and read. He's got a good face up game but he's also added a ton of muscle so that he can bang down low. I think he will be able to help us a lot next year.

I think how quickly he translates to the collegiate level as a freshman will be the X-factor for next season.

but where are we getting better at the big men down low. Gueye has a little more upside and so does the Swede, but no one is going to take them seriously on the offensive side. So it will be like 5 guarding 4

It's better than 3 on 5 when we have Pollard in (though I think he'll look much better next year) or give up 3-6 inches and 20-50 lbs in the post with Cooper or Steele playing the 4.

Gueye needs to learn 2 things to become a non-liability on offense: 1. Keep your pivot foot planted and 2.Be aware of pick-pocketers and when to pass back out. If those were the only 2 things he improved on from now until next year, I'll be thrilled.

I thought Hale was a legit 6'9 according to Amare Stoudamires big man camp also Grant and his staff really dont need to be out doing shite. They need to be in the lab IMO working on the team we have now.

Gueye is just a sophomore along with the Swede..I think with a lil more improvement they may be able to give us some points in their senior year. if their combined minutes could give us 8-10 points, 8-10 rebounds. 3 blocks, then that should make their 5 guard our 5.
