I dont think who we take this year has anything to do with Colemon. Looks like we are just looking for a guard of any kind IMO.

William Lee ends junior season with triple double...16 points, 12 blocks, 12 Reb...
kid has a bright future.

Issaac Haas was at the game today. Glad he got to watch a great game and witness an absolutely electric atmosphere.

Blame the lack of energy from the team and staff. 1000 fans can make Coleman loud when there's something to cheer about. I hope everyone was looking towards the LSU game because there was no excuse for what happened tonight. Glad to see Haas continue to visit us though.

Oh I agree for the most part. Nobody on the team other than Cooper showed that they wanted that game tonight. And that lack of energy translated into a complete lack of energy in the crowd. The crowd isn't completely blame free for the lack of energy though. They were silent at the tip-off.

When your that tall in high school those type of stats are average imo.

I think the emphasis was being placed on the 12 blocks. That's impressive at any level.

A guy on my HS team was 6'9" and was so woefully uncoordinated that he couldn't beat out a guy who was 6'3" as the starting center. It's actually pretty uncommon for guys that tall to be coordinated enough to play basketball.

Suttles is watching Jimmie Taylor's team today and said he is offensively challenged. I asked him if we were talking Carl/Moussa type bad and he said yes

I played AAU basketball and in high school. Those number are average for someone that size. All he has to do is stand under the goal. I agree the blocks are impressive but everything else is average.

I thought that was common knowledge

It's common knowledge he's not very developed offensively. I thought he'd be more talented than Gueye and Carl offensively though. Hell his cousin is Erwin Dudley, he should know all sorts of post moves.

@bjmillican
Jimmie Taylor now has 16 points, 7 reb, 3 steals, 4 blks. He's on the bench with 4 fouls. #Greensboro up 52-40 with 4 minutes to go.

Quotes from the coach trouble me
The 2nd hand qoutes from our coach trouble me more. I realize it's recruiting and they have to spin things, but I really hope he doesn't think our problems on offense stem from a lack of scorers. Because Releford, Lacey, and Cooper can all score points. Randolph could too if he'd be more assertive on offense. Our problems on offense are a glaring lack of focus, aggressiveness, and post scorers. We actually look good when we are making crisp passes, shooting without hesitation, and pushing the ball up the court on every possession. We bog down when we start making sloppy passes, pausing before taking what would have been an open shot, and walking the ball up the court so the defense can get set.

That is all I think that is. He's just telling the kids what they want to hear. I think he is aware we aren't a "fast-tempo offense" that he keeps telling the kids as well.
Having said that I'm against recruiting Severe from what I've seen. He seems to have an effort problem on the court in all of the games I've seen. Doesn't even try to play defense at all, and whines whenever he doesn't get the ball. When he gets on a roll he can stroke the 3-ball, but the lack of effort thing scares me. It's like Tony Mitchell's behavior on steroids. IDK maybe Grant could beat it out of him.

What video were you watching?

Seen a few of his games from last year, but here is the first part of one of his games this year. He's #10 on the Navy team. LINK
It may just be a coaching problem. If a coach doesn't get onto the kid for playing half-assed by benching him, the player isn't going to change.
