And you could put Hale and Taylor in the OP so people know we've already got two commits.

Why did this kid commit and decommit so early in the process?

Because he's Jewish?

Why did this kid commit

He loved the campus and staff. Grant recruited him the hardest and we were his best offer.

decommit

He decommitted because his father felt he would get better offers and I got the feeling they want him to stay in the northeast.

Thats what I find ironic. From what I remember Sina's father was the one that said he wanted his son to stay committed because he thought a verbal commit should actually mean something...

I put this in the other thread so here's another name to put on the list:
@JoshPaunilNRS: UNC, NC State, FSU, Minnesota, Alabama & Georgia have been contacting Jarquez Smith, his father says.

The names at the top are they for interest or offers?

All of them have shown a mutual interest at on time or another. The only one I know for sure that we haven't offered is Kendal Harris, unless he has been offered very recently. I think he is a backup option if we miss on Barber, though he is rising quickly and we might have to offer soon to keep his interest.

Hmm so im guessing we are taking 3 big man this year and a PG? Im thinking Hale will be a tweener playing 3/4. Seems to like to play on the perimiter.

That seems to be the plan. I'd be surprised if Hale plays the 3 much. We are really deep at the wing. However he will be playing A LOT on the perimeter as a stretch 4. The kid is a tremendous 3 point shooter.

It will be interesting to see what happends. On Hale the scouting report for ESPN says he is automatic from mid range. Man we are going to be deadly in a couple years. If we get Barber this year its going to be ugly.

@Justinbyerly: Shannon Hale, an Alabama commit, 6'8, 2013 has a soft touch, plays above the rim, gets a lot of blocks, going to be a good one.

Yea I follow Hale on twitter and I see a lot of higher rated players giving him props.

He may take an unofficial visit to Alabama if he has time within the next two weeks. That’s the game plan said, coach Jones. “We are going to look at each school and make a decision on who he likes and which one to make an official to later”…

We? Can't stand it when coaches say that word in terms of a player's recruitment...

I understand in some cases where they kid has known the coach forever but I just dont understand why these kids let there coaches get involved.
