When can we stop blaming the pitching?

14BB and 60K over 43IP
Team ERA of 2.51 & opponents are hitting .222

LMAO! I credited the pitching staff literally two posts above yours.

They’ve done their job since opening day — against WSU, Samford, and Alabama State.

Just like they do every year before getting tee’d off against in SEC play.

I will reserve my judgement about our pitching staff until SEC play, when hopefully we have a decent rotation figured out and don’t have to pitch backwards.

I pray our lineup figures it out by SEC play.

This. Hopefully they hit their stride during sec play this year. Last year didn’t we start out strong then kind of fizzle out near the end?

That too because if we enter conference play batting .250 as a team, that’s going to translate to about .200 (maybe) in conference play.

Sitting at .214 as a team currently. I expect that to jump up pretty considerably this weekend. It it doesn’t, we’re in trouble.

We’re up 11-0 and still batting in the 2nd

Lebron and Osterhouse with a HR so far

Rhode Island would struggle against some 7A teams in this state.

We needed this though.

Yes. But Fay gave up 3 runs in 5 innings. Call me Debbie Downer but I think coach is still looking for a friday night SEC starter and others may be auditioning for that roll.

How many JUCO squads in Alabama would beat RI? I’m thinking several.

I wasn’t watching but it sounded like we turned a double play that was overturned and the next guy hit a three run bomb.

I think Fay got behind in the count and decided at 14-0 he was gonna “see how far he could hit the ball” as opposed to walking him.

Turns out he hit it pretty far

down 2-1 going to bottom of 3. Zahn had a bad third inning giving up a HR and a Sac Fly to bring in the second run.

I went to the game Wednesday before the hoops game and that was the first time I had been in the park in forever. It's small but very nice.

The .525 club was amazing. If I lived closer, I would come more for sure.
