It’s ok to admit we overachieved too.
OSU lost their opener in our regional putting them in a hole and we got the second worst team of 16 in our super.
Pitching has been solid but our batting is atrocious. LeBron has been terrible and our cleanup is hitting .235 for fricks sake

We are facing an unconscious pitcher who is absolutely shoving. He is spotting his fastball and slider and throwing in a change. You just gotta tip your hat sometimes.

Again - I'm enjoying just being in Omaha right now. It's fun. Just would like to see better hitting than what we've seen all season. Too much of a roller coaster approach.

Not really. He’s not painting the corners or anything. He’s throwing mid 90s pretty much down the middle.

Huh? He absolutely has painted the corners. Go back and look at the 6th inning at bat to Neal. Completely painted the outside corner at 95mph…at best you hit it to the opposite field for a single, but not much you can do.
Guys on the rant praising the control and saying it’s rare to see in college and our thread is saying he’s doing nothing special.

I mean OU pitcher looked like Greg Maddux out there today and sometime you just run into a buzz saw. Let face it Bama was like the 7th or 8th best team out of the 8 that made it so just happy we made it. Everyone know in these tournaments it’s about who gets hot and right now OU is scorching.
On a side note I would be shocked if some mlb clubs don’t offer the OU pitcher with how he is playing. I am sure there are scouts there.
