I thought we had a team that wouldn’t get blanked in game 1. Yes.

We need a complete rehaul on hitting this offseason. Bring in some new blood. This is embarrassing.

Sure hope Vaughn isn't satisfied and improves from this. You don't want this run to be a fluke.

On paper, the recruiting and transfer class looks really good. There’s a few guys that the majors might take from us. But talent should overall be better.

Think we had the worst hitting statistics of anyone in the CWS, including Troy.
The 2-1 offspeed pitch to Neal after Neal fouled off the 2-0 fastball was absolutely nasty. This OU pitcher is elite. We don’t hit elite pitching (see our 1 and done against the FL pitcher in Hoover…I was there).

When you break a 27 year streak you celebrate. I’ve never watched a bama baseball team play in Omaha I wish we were playing better but I’m glad they are there to

SEC low BA of 243 is showing up today. Bad AB all the way around. And on the biggest stage and Faye does not have it. He has given up the leadoff runner in all 6 innings. Maybe I missed that, but it seems like it. We need to save our BP and let Faye keep pitching. Unless we throw one of the no names.
Rut Ro we are now pitching one of our best BP arms.

Why are we using one of our 3 good relievers down 5-0???? What are we doing?!

maybe just on a very limited pitch count and should be ok for tomorrow.

I'm enjoying every second of this, despite the score. I think it's a really food foundation for Vaughn to build on. Think they've played way more small ball than he wants this season because of the lack of power hitters in the bottom of the lineup.
Just again hope Vaughn ensures this run isn't a fluke and gets Alabama back here consistently.

Hines is a damn good outfielder.

Even if we win tomorrow (which is an extremely low probability), we’re hosed for game 3 now. Down 5-0 in the late innings, you let your starter battle or go to your midweek guys.

Should HInes be higher in the lineup?

You want to save him for the plane home?

Torres hits one clutch HR and y’all act like he’s not been absolutely shite all year

Lot of holes in the lineup . Mizzel would have helped but great job to get here IMO… still frustrating though

No reason he shouldn't be hitting where Torres is.

Against a regional 4 seed. Torres is totally overmatched against elite pitching. Hines SO earlier, but he battled the whole at bat and had several foul balls.
