I’ve said it a lot but Vaughn is NOT a good coach. Why is Neal hitting in that situation? Why not Stanton? Why not anyone but Neal?

He’s too stupid.

He won 41 games in the toughest conference in the country. He’s still only 36. He’s building something at Alabama.

I’m not going as far as he’s a bad coach or he’s stupid but not countering their move in that situation was highly questionable.

Umpire cost us the game. Two strike outs at end of game where 3-4 pitches were clear balls

The strikeout on Norton was brutal and totally changed the complexion of the last inning. That said, we had plenty of other chances to do something and didn’t. We’ve basically put ourselves in the impossible situation given our pitching depth. Four straight wins doesn’t look like a great road but I suppose stranger things have happened.

I know we won 41 games but to not win a regional that was easily winnable is not a successful season.
Hopefully Vaughn turns it around next year but this season is a disappointment period.

Hard to sum up Alabama’s baseball program better than that 9th inning. Gut wrenching.

We’re going to have to win tomorrow with Fin or Alcock starting to have any semblance of hope at winning 4 straight.

We will have to win with those guys pitching to still be playing after this weekend, yes. But I’d be floored if Fay and Adams don’t start the next two games.

Here’s why I wouldn’t throw those guys….most likely we will play Columbia. That’s our best chance for Fin, Alcock or Blackwood to win. They won’t beat USM or Miami

Yea you can’t afford to potentially end the season with two of your weekend starters on the bench. I get that.
