Brady freakin Neal! Dislocated his thumb. Ran back to the locker room, determined it wasn’t broken, popped it back into place, caught the rest of the game, threw out the runner stealing second, and hit the game winning home run.

quote:

Head Coach Rob Vaughn also added that when Neal disappeared into the dugout in the bottom of the eighth inning, Neal had to pop his thumb back into place.

Vaughn: "What makes that even more impressive is just talking about toughness, right? When he disappeared into the back, that thumb was not in place when he disappeared in the back. And he popped that thing back in, in the back, and said, I'm good to go. Like, not only after that he made that big-time throw, then he hits the homer like, man, I can ride with tough dudes like him any day of the week."

Neal's throw to second was one of the best throws from a catcher I've seen in a while. Absolutely perfect.

If St John’s pulls this off the coach has no choice but to book a 3 day bender in the Gulf before shuttling them up to Tuscaloosa

Alabama will host St John’s for a chance to go to Omaha.

Unreal.

They have some live bats so it won't be easy, but you gotta love your odds there. Going to try and at least make the first game, hopefully we get an earlier start.

Unless a basketball game breaks out in The Joe this weekend, I like our chances as well. But guys, cut out the drama and the cardiac kids act. Have a killer instinct and put them away!

Hell, I'd take our guys in a basketball game. Heiberger was an unbelievably good high school player.

I wonder if St John's has ever been to Ttown in any sport? Probably not.

LeBron would make one hell of a PG and I bet Lamm can stroke it from the corners like some Aussies of old
