At least we have a chance to run rule them, finally. Maybe this will get our hitters’ confidence up for next weekend…but I doubt it.

Another nice (if not toasty) day at the Joe. The sweep was just what the doctor ordered. Some long dormant bats showed signs of life. The new pitching rotation showed signs of success. Now to stay on the plus side of the conference record (and win that last midweek too). On to Vandy.

The names of some of our starters who are batting below 250 in league play will surprise most Bams.

If you woulda told me at the start of the year we would be 12-9 at this point, I would have taken it all day.

If OM loses today, we’ll be in a tie for 5th in conference.

If we can go 3-3 against Vandy and UGA, we’ll be in good shape for hosting a regional (IMO)

My understanding is the rotation is Q, Adams, & Fay. They didn’t want to force Q up by 2 days with the Th, Fri & Sat series in BR. Once they got back to Fri, Sat Sun they’d move them. It will give Fay a few extra days to rest up, and keeps Q and A on schedule?

I’m probably wrong. Everything I’m ready is the rotation is staying

Huge 10 game stretch for Alabama. Probably need to go 6-4 or 7-3 to host.

Currently

35-10 (12-9) (3-4 in SEC series)
#14 RPI
#12 ELO
10-7 vs Q1 RPI
25-3 vs Q2-4 RPI

Remaining schedule

@ #15 Vanderbilt
@ #15 Vanderbilt
@ #15 Vanderbilt
@ #22 Troy
#7 Georgia
#7 Georgia
#7 Georgia
@ Florida
@ Florida
@ Florida

If we get to 40 overall wins and are 18-12 in the SEC with a Top 10 RPI I'm not sure how we don't get inside the Top 16, but in reality there are a limited number of SEC host spots and we're battling with the last 2-3 (Ole Miss, Vandy, Oklahoma) in that group right now.

Interesting.

You know, I kind of like Quick going against number 2 for the other team. He gives us a really good shot at winning that game. That guy is drastically improved this year.

Alcock gives us a good chance in the 3rd.

Perhaps Fay and the BP can steal a game 1, although the past couple of Friday nights have not bee great for them. That said, after the bad 1st on Friday, Fay, et al., shut Missouri down the rest of the way, IIRC.

We just seem to be missing that 3rd quality arm.

Perhaps Alcock can move back to Fridays. He obviously has talent. He also was good against Missouri.

I know. They are terrible.

So we’re 12-9 and tied for 5th

2 games ahead of 10-11 and tied for 11th!

Never seen that one before.

Yea, 12 wins might actually get a regional bid this year.

Alcock didn’t pitch against Missouri. Adams pitched against LSU and got the only W in that series. He also pitched Saturday’s game against Missouri his first complete game. Adams was not taken out of the rotation he was only moved from the Friday slot.

Our only win against Tenn was when Adams started that game in the series against Liam Doyle. I think people seem to have forgottten maybe the coaches too? He also went against OU’s Friday night guy who’s slotted to be a top 10 draft pick and we won that game. 2 rough outings and people can’t remember his name LMFAO
