Returning 71% of your defensive snaps from a Top 10 defense and adding a 1st Round CB is.........nice

Having a good chunk of the defense up the middle returning is big. Dale, Byron Young, Henry T, Battle and Hellams is big. Just wonder if Saban will go to the transfer portal to get a couple more players for the offense.

I'm interested to see if a couple of the young defensive linemen get into the rotation. Monkell Goodwine was highly regarded by some people coming in last year and was able to redshirt. Same with Damon Payne. Also want to see where Khurtiss Perry ends up. He's so versatile.

Also you believe that Cohen moves out to left tackle ? Latham seems like a tackle all the way but I'm not a coach so what do I know ?

All they have to do is FIX that offensive line and I believe they’re going to have to get some help with that from the portal! Sad but true.

Not to get the thread too off track from the 2022 discussion, but will the 2023 defense be the least experienced returning unit we’ve had under Saban?

Tons of projected senior starters. Will Anderson gone. Tim Smith, Brian Branch, and even Malachi Moore could also be gone if they have big years.

2023 will likely be a reloading season.

Going to lose a ton on defense, key losses on offense too. Kicker probably leaving too.

List looks good. I guess Cohen and Latham at tackle. Roberts at guard.

Excited about the team but the WR group needs to really step up in 2022. That or grab an elite guy out of the portal. Not excited about Latu either.

Yea I’ve heard some rumblings that Brockermeyer still has a ways to go to be a valuable contributor for us.
