Our last recruiting class that was elite in hindsight was 2017. Tons of bad recruiting evaluations have hurt us in the trenches. Lots of really, really bad staffing decisions have made it worse. At a minimum Roach, Wolford, Rees, and Ballou all gotta go. Although at this point I have zero confidence in Saban's ability to hire competent replacements, so it probably doesn't even matter if we're being honest. It's just over. Time to find better shite to do on fall Saturdays for a while.

That’s not true. He hired bad coordinators because he doesn’t want to have to keep replacing them. Plenty of good coordinators would’ve crawled over glass to get here if he was still interested in guys that will be HC in the next two years.

It was nice of ABC to give us such terrible camera views. I think they were just trying to protect the viewers from seeing absolutely unwatchable football.

Saban signs off on every single scholarship offer.
I know the coaching hires have sucked...I know the OL is pussy central...but how in the freakin' world do we offer scholarships to QBs that apparently can't complete forward passes??????? None of them. I'm sure the camp evaluations have all kinds of data and crap before offers. What the heck are we doing with recruiting evaluations...and not just at QB

Totally agree. I know we complained about the injuries we had in the last few years of Cochran, but I would rather deal with injuries and have a team that has fire and discipline than deal with this garbage.

If we end up losing, I think you have to scrap the season, bench the older guys who aren't performing, and start working on your future team.
We always seem to be missing experience and talent at one or more important positions. Time to work on remedying that.
