This will get about 50+ downvotes, but with Vandy sitting at home today and the game on the road after this huge win/loss today, I only give us a 50% chance of winning next week.
DeBoer is historically good after a bye week and pretty bad when having significantly less prep time than the other team. I wouldn’t be surprised at all to win this game today and lose next week.

Vandy has one FBS win this season and it was entirely the product of their opponent making one of the most boneheaded mistakes in CFB history.

We're fortunate Vandy is next instead of literally any other SEC team, outside of maybe Arkansas...win or lose today.

Not to turn the LSU game thread into a Vandy discussion, but did you watch them play the 1st half at UGA? They not only were in it on the scoreboard, but they were matching them physically (and that was immediately after their close loss to AU). I fully expect we’ll get their best game of the season next week off of the bye. We should beat them, but it isn’t guaranteed at all IMO.

OK, cool. No conference game is a given anymore, but calling a game against one of the two worst teams in the SEC a literal coin flip is ridiculous. There's a 70-80% chance we win that game by 2+ TDs and a 90+% chance we win it by any score. They aren't the team they were the last two years.

The last three games had this board thinking we’re coached by Chad Morris.

Dont be such a pussy. We are about to go play LSU and you are worrying about Vandy.
Grow a pair.
Grow a pair.

If you do truly think it’s a 50/50 game you should put money on Vandy. I’ll take your action

So based on your logic, it’s probably 50/50 at Bama -17 then?
How much are you willing to bet Bama -17 right now? $1k with Boz holding the money?

Vandy QB is going to be pretty good. They are not as good as years past, but they are not as bad as the vandy of old.
They are not that far from A&M

Bout tree fiddy, because sports gambling is stupid. If we win tonight that's probably about where the line will be though.

Please let us win just so I don't have to hear "we should have hired muh Kiffin" every day until he shits the bed against Texas next week.

Did you see how Kentucky played against LSU? Mississippi State (with Taylor) against Mizzou/Minnesota? South Carolina against Florida?
I get what you're saying but if we can stay healthy, we should handle them. If not, at the absolute worst, I can see it turning out like the A&M game.

Yeah I don't think we have the defense to win a natty with a 19 year old QB so at this point I just want to avoid hearing any shite from the corndogs or Barners and I'm content with whatever else, if anything, we can achieve beyond that.

I’m too lazy to look back at posts, but weren’t you one of the ones giving me grief for saying this before the season? 1st year starters at QB aren’t winning natties anytime soon, unless they come in as a backup in the last 2 games of a really good team. They are way too inconsistent to win consistently enough to get a bye or to win 4 straight playoff games.

My guess is that it will be within that range too :-). I.e., you are just as clueless as most.
Has DeBoer given us anything to be hopeful about?

I wouldn't bet on any college football games these days.

Same but I also wouldn't be surprised if we lost today and won next week.
Or lost both this week and the next.
Bama is just not a good football program any more. We are 2-3 against Tennessee since 2021.

If I was it was probably in the context of preferring a series of 2 & 3 year starters rather than portal shopping every offseason even if it means we have a more limited ceiling while breaking in those multi-year in house guys.
