my bad dude. My fury was at Mt Vesuvius levels after that loss. I’m still ticked, but I’m sorry for misreading your intended post!

Tennessee can eat a giant bag of unsalted, bland, dry dicks though…

lol…but you keep insisting you aren’t a troll.

Bet you think Calipari is a good Xs and Os coach since he wins plenty of games too, like at KY this year.

I’m pretty down bad after this one. This is up there with San Diego St and UCLA as far as most heartbreaking.

We were 7-10 points better than them and somehow lost.

I tried to fight a Princeton fan in Louisville, KY after the SD State loss so I didn’t melt down like that

Today’s meltdown just caused me to go do yard work. I would I’m maturing but there are no Princeton fans talking shite in my back yard so I can’t be sure.

Ehh, I’m over it now. Kind of felt it would come to something like that at the six minute mark when we kept letting them hang around at home

Playing a 7 or 10 in the NCAAT may actually be an advantage over the 8/9 winner this year. Put us in Duke or UH’a bracket and let’s see what happens. Duke is young, maybe Flagg is Carmelo but maybe he isn’t. UH we beat on a neutral floor, so it’s something we can do although would be tough.

Oats is as good as anyone after a timeout but inbounds plays are always a Chinese fire drill.

Yeah. We really fricked the dog today. Missed free throws, bad situational awareness, piss poor officiating.

We had everything we wanted and blew it. At the end of the day this really sucks but if we beat UT and lost in the 2nd round I’d be more pissed. Learn and improve.

Although this game really does make me temper my expectations a bit. I went from feeling like we are one of the 8 or so teams with a shot to just hoping we make a decent run. Too much boneheaded shite with this team and if we can’t inbound the fricking ball then I don’t know what hope we have.

Bout to get back to my bourbon and go watch some hockey.

Another thing…when it was 75-72 and we got the stop…why did Sears give the ball up to Philon?? HE HAS GOTTA HOLD THE BALL!! He would have made both FTs and the whole rest of the disaster would have been a moot point

I don’t really know. There were multiple instances of people seeming too scared for the moment. I’m just going to chalk it up as a learning experience and get ready for tourney time.

Senior night coming up so we need to send Sears, Grant, and Youngblood off properly and get ready for the tourney.

At the end of the day this Tennessee team isn’t going to win anything of significance. It really sucks to lose to them because they play shite basketball but it won’t matter in about a week. Reset and get ready for the real season.

Philon got rid of the ball before the 5 count. Ref had just touched his chest for 4 and Philon got rid of it

In that situation with 2 TOs and 3 seconds to go, you call TO at 3.5 seconds. Never even let it get to 4. Lots of examples through history of refs calling the quick 5.

Stevenson literally didn’t move on that inbounds play. How the heck do you expect a nice entry pass when only one man moves? This is insane. We have the softest front court in the SEC. Cliff doesn’t jump, grant can’t keep his balance and Stevenson should be playing for North Alabama

It was developing way to slowly not to call timeout. I love Oats, but I feel like our coaches situational awareness as a collective staff can be baffling.

First half, calling a baseline inbound play with 5 seconds left on shot clock where Cliff is the target to begin the play, standing 25 feet from the basket.

2nd half, 30 Seconds left, Having Jarin on the low block on a 2nd free throw attempt for UT that, if missed, is a must have rebound. How do you not have your absolute best rebounder in at that point? How in the hell is Mo D not on that low block??

I still will have trouble ever understanding the no timeout call on the inbound. You just put a freshman on the baseline underneath the basket where we have struggled mightily to inbound all year. Our coaching staff collectively should have been significantly aware that if it begins to look even the slightest bit squirrelly, burn the TO.

Then the final straw was not face guarding the inbounder with a long defender as they have a member of the lollipop guild throwing a completely non harrassed pass to a guy who had all the freedom he wanted to dribble right up the court.

I appreciate the hell out of Oats, but our players gave a hell of an effort today. They certainly hurt themselves with bad free throw shooting and some missed opportunities, but our coaching staff needs to heighten their awareness in some of these moments
